Because everybody gets a primetime game. Might as well kill two birds with one stone so they can have a more marquee matchup later which doesn't feature either of these teams.CLEconomically Speaking;1429333 wrote:Browns v Bills on Thursday Night Football.. Why?

It said, contrary to Grossi's earlier report, the NFL won't ask Haslam to step down. Probably warms MKC's heart every time she gets a chance to kick old Grossi in the groin.Pick6;1429349 wrote:Not sure if BR's link says it..

That's the one I was at last year with a Browns fan friend of mine. Yeah, we spent the whole day getting wasted in the Muni. Got to watch the Blue Angels practice, too. It was a fun time. At least the parts I can remember. Lot of stuff goin' 'round that day.Mr Miyagi;1428716 wrote:The Lake Erie Classic is the 2nd preseason game, you might be the only one there. Most season ticket holders sell those preseason tickets cheap. Last year there were more Chicago fans in the stadium than Browns fans.

Just went over the Browns schedule and I have them at 8-8. Am I nuts?

I had them between 7-9 wins when I talked it over with a friend at work today.Terry_Tate;1429374 wrote:Just went over the Browns schedule and I have them at 8-8. Am I nuts?
Should win: Miami, Buffalo, KC, JAX, NYJ
Toss Up: Minnesota, Detroit, Chicago
Split Series: Cincy, Pitt
Likely lose: Baltimore x2, GB, NE
Depending how the toss up games go fluctuates the 7-9 wins. But then again I look at their schedule and think they should at least be .500 every year so what do I know.

I think they're more likely to lose 2 against Cincy than against Baltimore.

Agreed. Baltimore barely squeaked by them twice last year. Either the Browns get up for that game or Baltimore plays down to their level but it's usually close.GOONx19;1429413 wrote:I think they're more likely to lose 2 against Cincy than against Baltimore.
I'm expecting them to break out in this division (3-3 or 4-2 vs divisional opponents).

Haslam stressing that the investigation is focused on a small percentage of sales.
Well I guess it's ok, then.

Eh it's not like that anymore. With Stafford and Johnson it's really all changed, who knew that stadium could be a brutal place for an opponent to playIliketurtles;1429221 wrote:Doesn't surprise me that you have one of the most classless players in the league's jersey. I really hope you do go to the game, wear it, and sit in the dawg pound just so it can get beer and a bunch of other stuff thrown on it. Also I doubt you would rip anyone apart lol.
Also maybe I'll make the trip back up to Detroit for the Cowboys game. it was fun the last time going when it was 80% Cowboys fans and 10% Lions fans and 10% empty seats.

Well gentleman, unless this is smoke screen, looks like our defensive backfield will improve. Not gonna lie though, I'd be ticked if we dropped from 6 to 30 and gave the Falcons ANOTHER stud.
Report: Browns want Millner or to trade down

Citing multiple sources, NFL Draft insider Tony Pauline reports Alabama CB Dee Milliner is the Browns target at the No. 6 overall pick, with their preferred fallback option being a trade down.
If the Browns traded down -- perhaps with the Falcons -- they would reportedly target LSU DE Barkevious Mingo. Needy at cornerback, Atlanta is known to be interested in trading up and has a high draft grade on Milliner. The Browns and Falcons also have a history of draft-day blockbuster deals, although not under Cleveland's current front office. Regardless, a trade down would be sensible for the Browns if they believe they'd have a shot at Mingo at No. 30.

LOL at Hasslam and the fraud charges. I know my comments on this prolly belong on a poli thread....but come on. The banking industry steals 4 trillion of wealth from the America populace in 2008, and not one single indictment. So Pilot didn't honor their rebates. Shouldn't the customers and their accounting people check for this?
Unreal.

I think Falcons will trade with the lions to leapfrog us and take Milliner at 5. This means one of the tackles well likely be available, so I believe we will still be able to trade down. Maybe take Rhodes or Warmack if it comes to that?Dr. KnOiTaLL;1429590 wrote:Well gentleman, unless this is smoke screen, looks like our defensive backfield will improve. What kind of package do you guys think the Falcons would have to give up in order to move up 25 spots in the first round?CLEconomically Speaking;1429664 wrote:I think Falcons will trade with the lions to leapfrog us and take Milliner at 5. The conversation should go something like this.
Cleveland: Yes, we're interested. What are you thinking?
Atlanta: Well, we really want Millner. How about #30, a 2nd, future 1st and 2nd?
Cleveland: Alright, we'll let you know.
Goodell: With the 6th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select CB Dee Millner, Alabama.
Don't make that same mistake twice.
