I'd be less concerned using a 3rd rounder on Bray than #6 on Smith.

The 49ers got Nnambi for 1.3 mill? Did we even fucking try?

I think it was more about him wanting a championship. No way he would have considered Cleveland imo

He personally requested NO guaranteed money.

I'm glad I've got someone else on the Bray-waggon with me

dude, we aren't taking a QB in round 1. Banner has literally come out and said this. I don't get why people are acting like Geno at 6 is an ACTUAL possibility.

i highly doubt we end up picking at 6. Too many teams need that franchise LT.

I'm not on the "Bray-waggon." I just think that's the guy they will target. He's probably the closest thing to Mallett in this draft and we know Lombardi loves him some Mallett.

Taking him at 6 would make me sick. Now if we had a 2nd rounder and he fell that far I'd be fine with it. He should be taken in the 20's or later, not top 5-10.

I don't understand this logic...whether we miss on a QB in RD1 or RD3, we're still missing on a QB, again.

We need a franchise QB..if you don't think there is one in this draft, don't just waste a 3rd round pick.

Now you know how most Browns fans felt with our 22nd pick last year :D

Because a #6 pick had better be as close to "can't miss" as possible. You don't use a top 10 pick on a developmental QB, which Smith is. One would prefer to use a 4th rounder and later for a developmental type guy (Holmgren was famous for this when he coached...took one every year).

Had we taken him at 6, I'd agree. He maybe could've been had at the top of the 2nd round. Using a #6, this year, on a younger version of the same QB would be stupid.

My point is more that we need a QB, but we shouldn't just be taking QBs just to see if they'll pan out. If they believe in Smith, take him. If they believe in Bray, take him. I personally don't think they believe in either, so don't fucking take them.

We're still QB-less for another year, but I'd rather not waste a pick.

We have to learn from last year..we took Weeden just because we needed to take a QB. But we didn't actually believe he'd be really good. It was a terrible pick. So why not pass on him and everyone else until you actually believed in one (cough cough Russ Wilson in the 3rd round).

Weren't you the one that posted we should take a QB in the 1st round every year until we found a good one?

And lol at the Browns drafting Weeden just because they needed to take a QB, but didn't actually believe he'd be really good. That's pretty far out there. You don't draft a player, any player, in the 1st round thinking they won't be really good.

H&H were on their way out and had one last chance to keep their jobs so they panicked and took a QB who was 30 years old thinking he'd be NFL ready. I highly doubt anyone saw clips or workouts of Brandon Weeden and came away very impressed, and thinking he's worthy of a first round pick. Hence why he was projected outside of the first round.

As for your first point, I said take the best QB available until you eventually hit. If they don't feel a QB is worthy, then don't waste a pick on one. Simple.

OK....So they did think he'd be a good QB?

And by your logic, drafting a QB until they hit, could lead to a lot of wasted draft picks.

And the book is still out on Weeden. The coaching staff, you, I, or anybody else doesn't know how good he'll be yet.

No one thought Weeden would be a good QB. Look at his stats when hurried in the pocket at ok state, they weren't good. And he wasn't good last year, the jury is definitely not still out on him.

Nosportsandnolady up to his usual Im going to avoid comments Ive made in the past and act like I know what Im talking about. There is no QB in this draft even worth talking about or wasting a pick on. The Browns need to load up on the defense and Oline and worry about a QB next year.

Geno Smith will be the most overrated QB in this draft.
