Doubt he would play in the slot. Little is on his last leg.. he'd probably move down on the depth chart and Nelson would take over across from Gordon. I think we'll see allot of Jordan Norwood and Travis Benjamin out of the slot this year, unless they draft someone.

These are Weeden's numbers from his first season being compared to the numbers of Drew Brees (A), Troy Aikman (B), Brett Favre (D), and John Elway (E). I am not saying that Weeden is/will be a Hall of Famer, I'm simply saying that is ignorant and foolish to solely judge a player based on their first or second season. A truly elite NFL QB is one that continues to progress, recognizes flaws in his game, and puts in the time and work to make those flaws become a strength. The verdict is still out on Weeden. He is just entering his second season, and I look forward to seeing what he can do in a vertical offense with a bright, offensive minded coach and an established, successful offensive coordinator. He may or may not become a legitimate NFL starter, but there is certainly no way that anyone can know that from his rookie season, regardless of whether or not he is 30.

Little isnt on his last leg. He will be around for a long time. Littles problem was he was forced to be a number 1 and he's not. He's a pretty good number 2 and you could see the progress he made once Gordon emerged

only thing that really sticks out to me is player B and E have no completions of 20 or more yards. Neither of them should be Weeden, though.
I dont understand the Long stat. Such as Player E has a completion of 73 yards when he has 0 twenty or forty yard completions.

What? Do you even watch the games? He was shitty the first 8 games but once Gordon emerged he was really good. And his catching improved A LOT.

As for the "Long" stat and the "20" and "40" yard stats, evidently they were not recorded as a statistic back in their time.

No doubt. I dont really like when people bring up stats of hall of famers to make their points. There are so many different variables that play into it.

But, Im down to give Weeden another season because of the shitty coaching he had last season. He didnt show us much potential. I still think we need to look for a QB of the future,though.

The things I look at are not the touchdowns and interceptions really, but I find the QB rating to be very interesting as well as the average yards per attempt. It simply shows me that he had a very normal rookie season. He certainly didn't wow anyone, but he also wasn't as terrible as everyone makes him out to be. I still think there is hope. He does have a very talented arm, and I feel that if Chud and Norv can't make him our franchise QB in a system that fits his skill-set, then he himself will know that his dream is coming to an end.

Exactly. This offense suits Gordon and little perfect. Both should have very good years. One thing people don't notice in little is that he is a very good blocker. Opens up some big gains in the run game once t rich can get to the outside/ second level

Save your breath on trying to justify Weeden with comparable stats. Unless he had a rookie season like RGIII he was going to get bashed because of his age. If people really looked at rookie QB stats, HISTORICALLY, he falls right in line with others. Guys like RGIII & Russell Wilson spoiled the expectations for rookie QB's moving forward.
