Then go from #10-12 to completely out for a 2nd rounder in 2013, 3rd rounder in 2013, a 1st in 2014 and a 2nd in 2014. I mean that's a hell of a lot of pieces to bring in for sacrificing 1 pick. In 2014, we'd have 3 first rounders, and 2 2nd rounders; that's 5 impact players in one year. EZ.
If this is so EZ, might as well trade from #10-12 to Dallas so they can get Vaccaro.. then trade that #18 pick to move back into the second round. Boom now we have 3 first rounders and 3 secomd rounders next year. /sarcasm

I'd prefer 10 first rounders next year. Let's get it done Cleveland!

The owner's comments are to be believed following Dawson's exit...
Haslam said, "We're building" and "I think you've got to look at where people are at in their career."
I think you can count on this organizetion to do what it thinks best in the draft to accomplish that end.(building).

That said, I can see where Watson and Cribbs were allowed to depart, I'm less sure about being so casual about losing Dawson. He certainly didn't show any signs of slowing down and I don't see why he couldn't be a solid kicker for several more years.
Cleveland fans, I think are spoiled by the great kickers we've had, into thinking that cluch field goal guys are a dime a dozen. I submit that will change when the new Dollar Store kicker shanks a game winner.

You know, as I look at many of these mock drafts, a question came to me...

What qualifies many of these morons to write about sports? I'm pretty sure many of them would increase their prediction accuracy by throwing darts at a draft list. For pete's sake, if you put Barkley inside your top 10 at this point, I'm instantly questioning your intelligence on the subject...

If you follow them on twitter, they LOVE to tell you how "hard" they're working too. Go on and on about how doing a mock takes days worth of work and "many sleepless nights" lolfail to that.

Case in point:
Matt Miller ‏@nfldraftscout 16h New Mock Draft and updated Top 300 players coming Friday morning. Lot of sleepless nights ahead.

300 players may take quite a while. However, mocking the NFL draft shouldn't take much time after you get through the first two rounds. Everything after that is a crapshoot anyways lol

topp 300 players, not mocking 300 players (only 200+ get drafted). Shouldn't take that long, esp since these guys study the film etc....

Listing 300 players in a numerical rank is pretty useless anyways. How can you honestly say a RB ranked 174 is better than an ILBer ranked 176? Useless exercise designed to get clicks.

Does the new rule have how far downfield between the tackles extends?

I knew what you meant. 300 anything would take a while. Like you said, though, it's kind of pointless at a certain point.

Haden is signed through 2015 I'm pretty sure. Mack is a FA in 2014 though. Hopefully we can re-up our O-Line and continue improving our weapons. They're going to need to start negotiating with Mack sooner than later IMO. Don't let him sniff FA.

Ya heard?! Ravens are paying for their Lombardi as well!
Dr. KnOiTaLL;1410250 wrote:Ed Reed - DB - TexansTexans agreed to terms with S Ed Reed, formerly of the Ravens, on a two-year contract.

Financial terms have yet to be revealed, but CBS' Jason La Canfora "wouldn't be surprised at all" if Reed gets close to $6 million per season. If that's the case, he'll be one of the lone free agents to actually get close to what he was asking for. Reed is an ideal replacement for Glover Quin, and adds an edge to a defense that let itself get pushed around down the stretch last season. Along with Chicago's Brian Urlacher, Reed is the second defensive icon to move on from the only team he's ever known in the past hour.

Dr. KnOiTaLL;1410265 wrote:Captain Munnerlyn - DB - PanthersPanthers re-signed CB Captain Munnerlyn to a one-year contract.

"I'm staying a Carolina Panthers!," Munnerlyn announced on Twitter. The soon-to-be 25-year-old recorded 61 tackles, nine pass breakups, and two interceptions last season. It's a big signing for the Panthers, who are scratching for every dollar right now. Carolina now has six corners under contract for 2013. If the season were to start today, Josh Thomas and Josh Norman would likely start on the outside with Munnerlyn covering the slot.

I am okay with that. I didn't want to get butt raped by the Patriots for Mallett.

Give Weeden a year to bounce back, and go from there.

We finally agree on something. :D I'm also in the camp that if he looks totally clueless & sucks, you move on...no third year to "get it."
