Touchdowns?

Depending on who is available at 6: Dion Jordan, Dee Milliner (maybe Ansah).. I see 5 teams that could have incentive to trade up=> Dolphins, Bucs, Panthers all need CB and Saints and Steelers need OLB. If a trade is available, would you rather see the Browns trade down or stay put and select one of these guys?

I will opt to trade down anytime. Unless the Browns ever get to the point where we are one or two pieces away from being a Superbowl contender; I always opt for a trade down. I'd want something similar to the trade with the Falcons that netted them Julio Jones. Their 1st, 2nd and 4th this year, and their first and 4th next year.

I wouldn't trade with the Steelers if it were the last trade on earth. They can GFT.

Lot of good that trade did us.... I'm sick of trading down and passing up elite talent.

The talent is much more evenly distributed this year. Dion Jordan isn't at the level of the "elite" talent that came out of that draft. Also, I would imagine we would trade down only a few spots, unlike the #22 spot. Not only do we still have a valuable pick, but the team they traded for would most likely be shitty and provide a very good pick the following year. I.E Cardinals.

It would have to be about 10 first round picks.

Ended up being Julio Jones for Phil Taylor, Greg Little, Owen Marecic, Weeden, and James Michael Johnson. Does anyone really think that trade didn't benefit us greatly?

Niners will win the SB next year. Many a people have won a title after leaving Cleveland.

This is the final tally for those picks: defensive tackle Phil Taylor (Atlanta's 2011 first-round pick), wide receiver Greg Little (2011 second-round pick), fullback Owen Marecic (2011 fourth-round pick) and quarterback Brandon Weeden (2012 first-round pick). Cleveland also used a 2012 fourth-round pick in that deal as part of the package to trade up one spot for running back Trent Richardson.

Wasn't JMJ, Marecic was a fucking waste, Weeden was a waste so its basically Jones for Taylor and Little.

It was Julio Jones for Taylor Little and a share of Richardson. What a terrible trade. Julio Jones would have led us to 9 Superbowls!

Trading down to get more picks can be a very effective way to build a team, but you have to have legit talent evaluaters to make sure you get the right guys.

I suppose its more of a fail of Heckert and Holmgren. Didn't waste the pick on Weeden or Marecic it wouldn't look so bad.

Unless they can trade down to get Warmack, I'd have no issue if they traded out of the 1st round altogether, got a 2nd & a 3rd this year along with another 1st (and more) for next year.

Well yeah. I still think Weeden was a joke of a pick.

Apparently the running back rule (no leading with the helmet) and the elimination of the tuck rule were passed at the owners meetings. Trent Richardson be hurtin'....

I haven't heard anything about that, but that is complete bullshit if they did. WTF do they expect RB's to do?

They said that rule should about the RB shouldnt happen very often....has to be outside the tacklebox in the open field. We shall see.

Players want the safety....they are going to get the extra rules.
