FSU SOS: 54
Ohio State SOS: 81

And in that very link (which is just on Strength of Schedule) OSU is the only team of the four you list that has a win vs. another top 10 opponent (according to the very link you posted).

The article tries to make OSU seem to have as good or better schedules. But they have the worst SOS of all the ones mentioned. That is all. That article says:
But saying the Scarlet and Gray haven’t been tested assumes the three teams ahead of the Buckeyes have. So let’s put the “impressive resumes” of Alabama, Oregon and Florida State under the microscope.
Also, the article wants to boast OSU's 21 game win streak, but then says this about Alabama:
But, the wins of the past have nothing to do with the present
Not one of their better articles.

I don't know what those rankings are because they aren't the ones listed in the BCS standings formula and its not in order of SoS but they have a 4-4 Florida team 7 spots ahead of a 7-1 Miami of Florida team.

All I took out of it is that Oregon and Bama's schedules aren't a cut above like the media gods want you to believe. I'm glad they gave FSU some props though. I agree...they are legit.

What does any of that have to do with what I quoted.

You tried to post a link to make OSU look bad, and it has OSU as having the best win of the bunch.

I believe those are his predictive ratings.

If you read some of the text before the lists it explains how you would use it to predict how one team would fair against another team based upon their score.

There is nothing wrong with the article. It's just saying everybody rips on Ohio States schedule, but it's not like Alabama or Oregon have played brutal schedules. It even says the talk Florida State is getting is legit because they have played a good schedule. Very fair article that while even on an Ohio State site actually gives logic and a reasonable argument as to why Alabama or Oregon haven't played much harder if any harder schedules.

But why even play that argument if OSU's schedule is worse than all those mentioned? What exactly was the point? And FSU's SOS is lower than Alabama's?

So you think the article was written to show that OSU is 1-0 vs top 10, while the others are 0-0? I don't think so. The article was written as an argument why those teams aren't better than OSU. But its argument is flawed.

I definitely don't think OSU is better than Oregon or Bama, nor did I get that vibe from the article.

Did I say that? No. I was responding to the link you posted to try to dog on OSU.

Actually I'm not dogging on OSU at all. I think they are playing great and should finish 12-0. I just thought the article failed to make any valid points.

http://www.toledoblade.com/Ohio-State/2013/11/07/Meyer-Fickell-did-not-interview-with-FAU.html

COLUMBUS — Ohio State coach Urban Meyer shot down a report that defensive coordinator Luke Fickell interviewed for the head job at Florida Atlantic.
"He did not interview," Meyer said after practice Wednesday night. "He better not have."
Meyer said he was not contacted by FAU and that there is "absolutely no interviewing going on" with his assistants during the regular season.
Fickell is apparently Florida Atlantic’s top target to fill its coaching vacancy, with the South Florida Sun Sentinel reporting that FAU athletic director and former OSU staffer Pat Chun flew to Columbus to interview him Tuesday.
Owls coach Carl Pelini resigned last month after he was spotted allegedly using cocaine and marijuana. Fickell went 6-7 as the Buckeyes’ interim coach in 2011 and is in his second year as Meyer’s defensive coordinator.

It has to be cold, gray and cloudy
With so many games being in prime time anymore it just seems like noon games are ho-hum and not as important. I dont know, just has that feel. I agree though, much better in the fall when the temps fall.

When we would go to steelers games I hated the early season 1pm starts. Just didnt seem quite right and loved the later in the year, cold, crisp games to go to

I'd rather play Bama or Oregon than FSU. FSU just looks scary good.

If there is a bye week, I just want upsets in other games so I'm more interested in the games. Like last night was great.

Here's to the hope that te dumbest appearing coach (Les Miles) topples Bama!
