what you've just said... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul...Tiernan;1522500 wrote:Jimmy "The Liar" and his merry band of worthless Offensive Asst Coaches ruined Zwick. Zwick was earmarked for greatness in a pro-style offense but JTL didnt know how to coach anything his D-3 Daddy didnt teach him at Baldwin Wallace (which is in Cleveland and has that loser stench on it already)...but I digress, Zwick was a kid that needed some guidance no doubt about it but JTL didnt have the tools to coach a kid like this. Instead he could let a player like TWHPIH run all over the place and "create" offense. FUCK THAT. Good offenses don't "create" they "EXECUTE". Execution was a word not in JTL's vocabulary. This joker never wanted the world to see what a fraud he was, but guess what? The smoke and mirrors finally cleared and the emporer was naked.

The best part is that Tiernan seems to hate NE Ohio, but he just praised Zwick to a degree that only the most insane Massillon nut-hugger would.LJ;1522541 wrote:what you've just said... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. You know who have been really annoying on ESPNU are the ACC reporters. Good lord you have 3 top 10 teams for I think the first time ever and they start saying how close they are to the SEC and have already probably surpassed the Pac-12! Good lord outside of the top 4, Maryland and WF are just average, the bottom 6 suck dick hard. Pac-12 bottom 6 are Washington, Washington St, Cal, USC, Utah and Colorado who would all probably go .500 in the ACCTerry_Tate;1518401 wrote:He's a pompous idiot. Was shocked he actually admitted his mistake and took it out of the article.

In other words, ACC football has turned into ACC basketball -- a top-heavy conference without consistent quality depth. I mean, it's a lot better than the "one kinda good team and a bunch of trash" that it had been in recent history, but yeah...they're not a super-conference or anything like that.Classyposter58;1523086 wrote:You know who have been really annoying on ESPNU are the ACC reporters. Gotta love ESPN taking a jab at OSU anytime they get a chance...
perhaps in particular for an Ohio State team that has had its schedule picked apart and is almost completely out of opportunities to impress voters on a big stage just past the midway point of this season.

As much as I'd like to see him leave, it's a lateral move for Gene.

I think a lot of Buckeye fans would agree with this. I appreciated last seasons undefeated season even with the bowl ban as going undefeated is extremely hard to do in college football.bases_loaded;1526876 wrote:Buckeye love from the national press?

I think the most interesting fact in that article is that during OSU's undefeated streak they've been jumped in the polls by 13 different teams. That sounds to me like people just want to have ANYONE besides OSU at the top (I'm assuming he's using the AP poll for this statistic since it was the poll that could include OSU last year despite sanctions as it's not relevant to the BCS formula).

Agreed, especially on this point. Why is a team that has one 20 consecutive games being passed by anybody? People who say "Oh Ohio State doesn't play anyone" act like Alabama, Oregon, and FSU are playing world beaters every week.

This is incorrect. If Zwick would've played in the era of high school exposure we have today he never would've been rated so highly. Zwick had more offers than Trent Edwards and Vincent Young who were both very highly rated and when he got to the Elite 11 it was evident that he wasn't in anybody else's league and allegedly the worst guy who'd ever taken part in the elite 11 camps.Tiernan;1522500 wrote:Jimmy "The Liar" and his merry band of worthless Offensive Asst Coaches ruined Zwick. Ohio State is great, but lousy Big Ten is ruining its BCS dreams
If the Buckeyes seal the deal in the Big Ten title game five weeks from now, they would have won 25 in a row. That would tie for the 22nd-longest streak of all time. That total would be ahead of the Harvard team of 1891 (24 in a row), tied with the legendary Army squad of the 1940s (25 in a row) and one behind the Nebraska team that won three titles in four years (26 in a row, 1994-96).
