Let's be honest here. If OSU gets left out of the title game they will break the streak for consecutive NCAA wins. The only team in the league that worries me is Alabama but they typically struggle against the spread offense that OSU uses. If we get a Rose Bowl bid against Oregon we will beat them by 2 TDs. I don't think Urban will lose a game his entire career at Ohio State and you can take that to the bank.

Is there any chance Stanford would pass OSU if they beat Oregon?

Very very unlikely. Osu the last couple weeks has moved up a bunch in the computers. Those computers aren't going to move Stanford ahead of osu according to the talking heads on fs1 yesterday

What time you think the OSU/tsun game will be? I'm getting ready to send out evites for our annual game day party, and I'm assuming it'll be 12:10 as it has been for 19 out of the last 20 years--especially since tsun will have at least 2 losses, thus making this a less than attractive game for a prime time slot. Thoughts?

It should be.

I actually liked the 3-3:30 start like the #1 v #2 game.

I'm personally a big fan of The Game being at noon.

Tradition and personal memories and all that I guess.

Agreed, noon games are special. Brings me back to the days of tapping kegs at 7am.

Cold weather noon games only.

It has to be cold, gray and cloudy

Noon games are great, but mid-50's and sunny is fine with me. Start the day with coffee w/carolans, progress to beer, then fill my flask w/Everclear apple pie for The Game....and the rest of the afternoon/evening's a blur.

http://www.toledoblade.com/Ohio-State/2013/11/05/Report-Florida-Atlantic-may-hire-Ohio-State-s-Luke-Fickell.html
COLUMBUS — Florida Atlantic may be targeting Ohio State defensive coordinator Luke Fickell for its coaching vacancy.
FAU athletic director Pat Chun flew to Columbus today to interview Fickell, according to a report in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
Fickell is in his second year as defensive coordinator after serving as interim coach in 2011. Chun, who spent 15 years at OSU before leaving for FAU last year, fired Carl Pelini last month after the Owls head coach was allegedly spotted using cocaine and marijuana.
Fickell, who went 6-7 in his only season as head coach, is paid $600,000 annually — about $100,000 more than Pelini made at FAU

There is no November night game rule. Delaney has said he is open to it happening, and if I had to guess I would say within 5 years it will be played at night at least once.

Great article. I've been starting to see more and more people/articles start to question the national perception that Oregon and Bama are tops.

Problem with this article...

Alabama SOS: 47
Oregon SOS: 62
FSU SOS: 54
Ohio State SOS: 81

I don't see the problem. The article gives us fact based info which shows that the teams above OSU also have scheduling weaknesses. Just because the Sagarin ratings shows these teams' SOS's being stronger not disprove the contents of the article--ergo there is no "problem with this article"... ;)
