Winthrop is shooting out of their mind. They've made some really tough contested 3's.

Winthrop looks like a team that will scare the hell out of somebody in March.

They are 4-4 with loses to Indiana St., Wofford and James Madison. They will be a long shot to make it far enough to have that chance, imo.

They have one win against d1 teams. So doubtful. They've shot the lights out though no doubt

Shannon Scott and craft changed this game with their defense. Relentless.

Yeah they said they had only beaten one D-I opponent

Yep, credit to them tonight. But they are not a very good team.

Well hopefully OSU runs offense against Kansas on Saturday instead of just shooting everything as soon as they get the ball. They didn't even try tonight

Definitely an uninspired game by the Bucks tonight. Wasn't able to get out in transition, which they HAVE to do. We don't have the scorers in the half court offense to beat good teams.

We need to run some more plays for Ross inside. He is a true O threat andwe need that bad. More minutes for Williams.

Totally off topic, but watching us play in "Value City Arena" just blows. Man, I miss St. John Arena, what a great, unique venue for hoops. I know, I know, it was a money decision ... ok, rant over.

Buckeyes still looking for that signature win of the season. Lost it late against Duke and didn't show up at all in the second half against Kansas. I think this is where we miss Jared, a player who could give you the easy buckets and inside game offensively that we're missing. Right now it's the DeShaun Thomas show but he can only do so much. Ross is a scorer but he still doesn't seem as polish as I thought he would be by now. Even Amir still looks shaky but I like what he brings defensively. Craft...let's face it, it won't sit well with some, is overrated. That doesn't mean he is bad. Nowadays if you call someone overrated people feel as if you're insulting the person, but that's exactly what he is - Over-rated. Meaning rated higher than what he is probably deserved. He's not an All-American and I don't see him as a future NBA player. He is a good college basketball player and glad he is a Buckeye. His energy is tremendous. And we all know what he brings defensively. We have a team full of athletes but we need more 'ballers'. Guys who can create their own shot. I'm not in panic mode because we lost to two really good teams. I hope we get it together by Big Ten season because the road to that title might be even more difficult than the NCAA one. The conference is loaded!

Michigan and Indiana have shooters at all positions, I don't think that OSU even though they play much better defense than either Michigan or Indiana can hang with them. Which means the Bucks are playing for third with Michigan State (a team very similar to OSU, can't shoot) and Illinois and maybe Minnesota. Ohio State has great athletes but only one basketball player (Thomas) smart teams like Kansas and Duke and I'm sure the good B1G teams will double and triple team him and let Craft, Thompson, and Smith Jr. clank away. I still think that the Bucks will have a good season but with no consistancy shooting the ball or not much of an inside game, I don't see a B1G title this season. But the B1G tournement you only have to get hot for a short time, maybe with their defense they could pull that off, I'm still hoping for 22-8 regular season and with the B1G tournement and a win or 2 in the NCAA maybe 26 or 27 wins not bad for an off year.

Good post. I still think they'll upset either IU or tsun, but will lose to a lower tier team as well. The B1G season should get their teams prepared for the Dance, but they'll have to get there first.

Chicago St throwing in some crazy 3 balls but compiling fouls trying to keep it away from Williams.

I do like how Chicago St is pressuring OSU bringing the ball up.

OSU is looking awful on offense, fortunately Chicago St looks like an NAIA team against them.

This type of lethargic offense will have a #14 seed with a 32-18 lead over a #3 come tourney time.

Thomas with a nice pass to Rav.

Their outside shooting is abysmal though. Can't believe they have no one that can hit a 3 with any regularity.

Damn, Thomas is good. He's going to make some NBA team very happy.
