Q is a wonderful sixth man, let's keep him there and maybe adjust lineups based on opponents. Ravenel playing well today
Oh I totally agree with Ross as the 6th man. The starters are fine, I'm just thinking about the best 5 in crunch time. I think Craft and Smith can be switched depending on if Ohio State is leading or behind. Thompson still needs 15-20 minutes a game, I love his game. It just seems to me like everyone is leaps and bounds better than last year except Craft. I think he is who he is at this point and that's a good chemistry guy with great defense, but I don't think they'll cut down the nets with him playing the majority of time at point. Everyone else's ceilings just seem higher.

Even though we'd be small, I like replacing Williams with Thompson in this lineup. I'm just not comfortable with Amir playing significant minutes, but who knows, he may yet surprise me.Classyposter58;1343810 wrote:But Smith can absolutely shoot. I think you gotta go...

No way. In bigten play that lineup would get abused and beat up. Plus Thomas would be in foul trouble trying to guard the 5.

This. I don't even care if it's Kyle Madsen, you have to have someone with size in there at all times. By the way they've got tickets on Stubhub for the Nebraska gameMidstate01;1343824 wrote:No way. Good point, but I still think my lineup will give us a better chance offensively. However, we'll prolly give up some points as well.Midstate01;1343824 wrote:No way. In bigten play that lineup would get abused and beat up. Plus Thomas would be in foul trouble trying to guard the 5.

We couldn't get any rebounds and Sam would just foul whomever every single play trying to jump over themvball10set;1343830 wrote:Good point, but I still think my lineup will give us a better chance offensively. However, we'll prolly give up some points as well.

No way is Williams even a viable option right now. He's the only one that has shown no improvement.Terry_Tate;1343771 wrote:Oh yeah, I think those 2 plus Thomas, Ross, and Williams are the best 5. Then you have Smith, Thompson, and Rav off the bench playing good minutes.

You've gotta love the way Matta approaches the NC part of the season. They only have a couple tough teams on the schedule, but Matta uses these games to win (of course) and to find the right people and chemistry. They have a killer stretch beginning with the Kansas game and the first 4 or 5 games in the B1G schedule. He'll have them poised to be one of the elite in the conference and the nation.

Ravenel played awesome today, he might eat more time away from Williams. Amir just has to play solid D and score a couple of times, OSU has plenty of enough scorers.se-alum;1343980 wrote:No way is Williams even a viable option right now. He's the only one that has shown no improvement.

We lack a true # 2 option and post presence.
Without these two things, we are not winning a title. This team is good enough to compete in the B1G but I question our title chances

Osu missed at least 7 layups that first half. Absolutely no rhythm or energy at all. They said they weren't looking ahead but that's crap. They don't look like they looked at Winthrop at all.

Putrid. Williams is a liability. Ross can't dribble. Craft can't shoot. Thomas gets lazy on defense. Putrid.
OSU will win by 20.

This is the definition of a look ahead game. Hopefully they pull it together here.
Amazing the easy shots they're missing though. Lenzelle just missed one at point blank range.

What a find by Thomas. Smart play there to pass up the basket.
