So I get on a thread where the OP was clearly trolling, just to troll a troll that was obviously trolling, and I'm removed?

How was the OP obviously trolling? The OSU posters here have such a stick up their ass they think if anything is said about their team that doesn't involve kissing the ass of their low-level football squad it's trolling, lol.

Now I know why he's know as cry4fail. Like I said before the discussion on this site is not that intriguing as it is. Now we have Nazi mods booting people from threads for next to nothing. These people know how to run a message board :/

Damn. Some of you guys make no sense. All you want to do is bitch about the site, yet, you still hang around. Obviously it must be doing something for you because you have thousands of options out there to choose from when it comes to forums.

As I said in that thread, why does it matter if they complain in the basement? You can't possibly get butt hurt over people complaining in the basement. If that's the worst thing that happens after a thread ban, I think you are good to go.

Here are some suggestions to improve the thread ban:

1. Provide a warning before the ban. You will get a notification so you don't miss the warning. If they still dont stfu, then thread ban.. OR

2. First thread ban is only for a day or 2. Allow poster back on thread after the day or 2. He if/she(lol) still is trolling then give a perma thread ban. If they can't get it after the first thread ban, then they deserve to lose the ability to post in that thread.

I can agree with point 1. As for point 2, once you're thread banned you're thread banned. I'm not going to add extra work of keeping track of who has been thread banned and how long they've been thread banned. If they get a warning and still earn a ban that's it.

And I'm not butt hurt about these threads, I just knew they'd be coming and find them funny. I'm pretty sure I've never given a straight answer in one of them yet they keep popping up.

I don't know, but it wasn't based on a set schedule like you are proposing.

A few different moderators mod the college football forum. We tend to moderate stuff as we see it. We don't necessarily have an assigned amount of threads we have to comb through. We do respond to the report feature if used properly.

I have yet to actually read through the thread in question as I am not too interested in ND. But I do hop on game threads from all teams to make sure things aren't getting out of control.

But as for the current complaints, as I previously said: I have not read through so can't comment.
