See post #196.

Actually at a little neighborhood bar right now. Not much in a beer selection, so it's WR and PBR.

Okay I bought some Elijah Craig today to check out. Had the Turkey 101 in my hands and got a thumbs up from some guy there. After further questions he mentioned that is was Hot. I told him I'm a WR lover and he recommended the Craig.

Understandable. Craig is cheaper than WR which is cool. Both have some great smoothness. I'm enjoying the Craig right now. I still can't say which it better as they both are good and I don't have this enough...right now.

Bulleit is another good affordable bourbon.

I've had that before. Not too bad.

Had some Blanton's tonight. Very smooth. Almost too smooth as I actually felt/tasted like butter. Not my favorite, but decent. Could drink a lot of it since there was no heat. Had to go back to my WR after that.

Still need to try R&R, but having some Canadian Club tonight. Found out that's Don Draper's drink of choice so if it's good enough for him its good enough for me.

Low shipping cost? $22 to ship a 750 mL bottle to me in Ohio. About the same as Binny's. I can't make myself do it.

It is good. I bought a bottle not too long ago, and really enjoyed it. I'd say it is better than WR.

One of my go to ones. Love the bottle too.

Picked up Corner Creek today. Seems like a decent middle range one. ($25).
Also, picked up a bottle of Blanton's, which was on sale for $35. Kind of hard not to pass that up.

R&R is not bad and a good substitute if you are mixing drinks instead of using Crown. Last few nights Sky vodka has been whipping my ass. I am trying it again tonight looking for the same results. So far so good.

Since you brought Vodka up have you, or anyone else tried Tito's Vodka. I've been letting it kick my butt a couple nites a week.

No beverages for me tonight. My work schedule changed to a 8pm-4am for this week. Well maybe I'll do some morning drinking. We'll see.

Yes and thought it was good as well. Im not to picky when it comes to vodka. I have some I like better than others, but I will drink any vodka. I did find Titos to be a little smoother and really enjoyed it with my cranberry. I tried it straight up and found you could drink it on the rocks and was actually really good.

Bought some Evan Williams Single Barrel the other night. One of the cigar guys suggested it. Really digging it. Been sipping some from it every night. Trying not to gulp it down, as I usually do.

Thought I hadn't seen this thread in a while.
Girlfriend's sister is stationed at Ft. Carson in Colorado and bought a bottle of Stranahan's whiskey, aged only 2 years.
Pretty good overall. Lots of flavor, very different than the typical whiskey. Closer to a scotch than bourbon taste.

Also, bought a bottle of Sam Houston whiskey.
Anyone else had this one? Finally decided to pick it up, was only like $22, and will try it tonight.
