Haha. Although, in reality, I could give a shit what you drink. Drink all the Beam and leave the rest for me.ernest_t_bass;1404504 wrote:

Tried Crown Maple and that stuff was terrible. Think it's going to be hard to top Crown Royal for me but I'm going to try. Going to start trying a new Whisky(mostly Canadian whiskys) every week and will give reviews as I'm going through. Any first recommendations from the OC?

R&R or rich and rare is decent substitute for crown. Its a lot cheaper as well, but there is a slight taste difference but for the price its worth a try. The Crown maple I thought was horrible as well way to sweet and just did not taste good to me at all.Terry_Tate;1404826 wrote:Tried Crown Maple and that stuff was terrible. The maple doesn't even sound appealing. If you have a strong liking for Crown, you may never find a Canadian that you like better, at least in the price range. I'm not up much on the Canadians though.mcburg93;1404850 wrote:R&R or rich and rare is decent substitute for crown. I didn't end up getting drunj. That stuff is too tasty to waste on getting wasted.WebFire;1406055 wrote:I think you were already there. How was it?

Anyone try the "Cleveland" whiskey yet? Supposedly it's aged 6 years in 6 months through some sort of pressured aging process. I bought a bottle but have no real clue as to what good whiskey is supposed to taste like. But it was alright

Most Glenlivet is pretty overrated IMO.bases_loaded;1430946 wrote:Glenlivet 18 last night. Not a top 5 in my book.

Yeah, Glenlivet does seem to get a lot more credit than it probably should.bases_loaded;1430946 wrote:Glenlivet 18 last night. Not a top 5 in my book.
It's not a bad Scotch. I'd think of it like a call brand, honestly. Decent stuff, but your top shelf Scotch it is not.

Still sticking with Woodford Reserve. I usually get a bottle every other week after I have a couple of drinks of it at my cigar tastings.
The sad thing is it only lasts a couple of days. Can't help it as I love it.

I'll have to try R&R this week and let you know what I think. I really do love Crown though, had quite a bit Friday night and Saturday night. Crown and Coke is my drink.
