Agreed. Saying that the Clowns will go 8-8 or 9-7 is not the same as saying ND will go to a BCS Bowl.

He said that people were saying that THIS year's team wasn't bad and that NEXT year's team would go to a BCS bowl.

How is that different from a fan thinking THIS year's team has a chance at a winning record and NEXT year's team goes to the playoffs?

8-8 is good? LOL Please. Most Browns fans are predicting 4-5 wins at most; the real blind dumb nuts are the only ones who think we can go 8-8.

Even 5 seems pretty iffy.

8-8 isn't good, but it's not bad. It's middle of the pack. It's "not bad."

Come to Akron. There are apparently a lot of "blind, dumb nuts" here. They're unrealistic, but harmless.

No way. I know I didn't predict 10-2. They're coming off an 8-5 campaign and the schedule appears to be a grinder this season so 8-4 is my prediction. I would have raised an eyebrow at 10-2. Almost everything would have to work out and go right for that to happen and the odds of that are slim to none. Should ND be ranked? I don't know. However, you could probably question a few other teams and where/if they are ranked. And who really cares that much if a team is ranked 20th? It's not like it's some lofty ranking.

Also, I picked Michigan State to win Saturday. By double digits. And after that game I'll start talking about the ND-Michigan matchup.

It's hard to even post on an ND thread anymore. You get people like sleeper, knight rider, and tieran come in an just troll. I like to hear what other non biased fans have to think about notre dames team. Posters like v-ball, fat hobbit actually add to the discussion and not troll. I like to post on Irish envy but most of them are delusional, but here we have a bunch of different fan bases.

Sure they can. Saying generic group think comments like "the acc bent over for ND" is moronic. That's the best argument there is? Tell me how much you know about sports from watching ND Purdue last weekend.
