Lol, so if they were joining for football they would get to play duke and nc state. Instead they only get to play them in basketball. I guess I'm not sure what you're point was.

Agreed, but the Big East was anticipating the same thing. The ACC shouldn't hold their breath.

I understand that on the non BCS bowls. But if ND ends up being the only loss (outside of an ACC title game) for someone it can fuck the ACC title game loser (or on extremely rare occasion a 1 loss team that somehow completely misses the ACC title game) or out of an at large BCS spot.

my point is from a competition stand point , notre dames doesnt help the acc out if they join in football. it just gives them another tean that aint that good.

they weren't in the BCS last year.

I just hope Notre Dame can still play soccer against Akron. They are tough.

congrats on the W. We dont put much stock into a regular season game, though. We care about NCAA Championships.

Also, if you actually want to see us play, tune into FSC Friday. We will be playing our 4th top 20 ranked opponent in 5 games.

True. The issue I bring up will most likely resolve itself once they go playoff anyway

@NDatRivals: Swarbrick says that USC, Stanford and Navy will be protected (without naming USC and Stanford). Everything else up for grabs.

Its one thing to moderate posts that are against the rules. But don't tell us to stop posting about something that is on topic and not a violation of rules.

I would love to go on about why I think this is a poor decision for ND and the acc but I do t want another phantom basement ban so ill just stop posting--take a bow mods, you effectively keep people from posting lol

LOL, why is Karen to upset? It def is a complete joke that ND can get a BCS slot from the ACC. If i was the ACC I would tell them to go fuck themselves with that request. If you want the bowl tie in join the conference instead of the half ass bullshit. I can't believe the ACC is bowing down to their bullshit. What a joke. This is why nobody likes ND.

Wow. Talk about giving the big "F-U" to the Big Ten. Always thought if ND were to join a conference, it would be the Big Ten.

I'm not upset at all. Neither is the ACC. If they didn't benefit greatly from the new arrangement, they wouldn't have gone through with it. Stabilizes the conference, gives them a national brand to help promote the conference, and will bring in more money through TV revenue. It really isn't difficult to understand.

So nd could play 5 shit teams in the acc, and yes va tech counts as that, and go to a bcs game?? Gtfoh. Nd has already had easy rules with the bcs. It's only getting worse.

Well they probably would join the Big Ten if they Big Ten would just give into to the demands ND wants like the ACC has and Big East did. But that is never going to happen and I applaud the Big Ten for that.

B1G doesn't need ND like BE or ACC. I still don't understand how you can not play in a conference but still represent one in a bowl.
