I can't imagine a television would get much use in a lot of kids' bedrooms with the current state of social media, gaming, and everything else that takes place on a phone or a laptop. Neighborhood kids, about a dozen, are pretty good about still getting outside all summer long. I am very fortunate to live in a town where the school, and park, are almost centerstage. If you live within the village limits, you are at MOST 1.25 miles away from both so parents let their kids almost run free during the summer and riding to school.
As far as TV in your rooms....nowadays...eh. "back in my day" we had just the antennae so we had maybe 5-6 channels so it wasn't nearly as raunchy as TV is today
