I don't have a problem with it generally, although it depends on the age. Older kids - 16, 17, 18 - it's probably OK. I don't think an 11, 12, 13 year old needs their own TV however.

They don't need a lot of things. Point?

For what it's worth, I never had one in my bedroom or dorm room. Actually, to this day, I've never had a television in my bedroom.

Which parenting move is worse?

TV in kids room

or

Drinking a case of Keystone every night

I think it depends on the age of the child. I had one starting in 5th or 6th grade. I never sat in there watching it but it was nice to have the option at night or in the morning when I was getting ready for school. I think it's all about how much TV kids actually watch...not where they watch it.

My daughter is 2 and has a tv in her room. It's actually convenient when you need to get stuff done, pop in a Disney movie and she's entertained for an hour and a half lol. It doesn't get turned on for bed time though

Yeah, Justin. It's a case every WEEKEND night now that school's back up. Just a 12-pack during work nights. In the kid's room.

I have a curious question, S&L got an infraction for using the same acronym that ETB used. Does that mean ETB gets one. I didnt agree with the one S&L got but am just curious.

I don't see the harm in a tv in a kids room. All depends on how much the PARENT lets them watch it.

This. A kid can watch just as much tv in the living room if the parent allows it.

I have no problems with kids having a tv in their rooms. When I grew up we only had one tv in the whole house.

Then I'd prefer a reach around instead of a reach.

Yeah, it was sixth or seventh grade for me. Didn't really use it a lot, but it was nice to have around for when my parents decided to watch Sound of Music for the 50th time.
