Kids only really need food, water, clothing, room and board, education, and healthcare. Surely you didn't give your children anything beyond that.

I had a tv in my room my whole life. As a kid I only really used it when I had friends over and we played video games on it. It was nice to have when I had friend over and my mom was cleaning. ( My mom was a stay at home mom). She could just tell us to go to my room and use the tv there so we didn't drive her nuts.

Man, you're so totally gonna get put in a crooked nursing home where ex-cons forcibly give you hourly enemas. Flesh enemas.

I'd say the parenting fail would be on the strict, asshole dad that doesn't allow his child to have a TV. Which I'm sure later, he will try to clamp down on other things, which in turn will make the child rebel, and eventually put a shotgun to his head one night while the strict, asshole dad is asleep.

Didn't have a tv in my room growing up and when the weather was nice i went outside. Was more into legos as a kid than video games.

Had one TV in the house growing up. That said, the old man re-loaded his own shotgun shells, so there were always bags of gunpowder in the house.

We didn't watch a lot of TV.
