I really don't give a shit what he does. I just don't really remember it being stated before (probably b/c most people are pussies), that it's "tough guys" that turn people away from a message board.

People want to go to a message board to discuss things. Disagreements are OK, but being ridiculed for an opinion will discourage many.

The man does have a little bit of a point although for me its not some much the E-hardassery, it is more the putting "QQ" and "Fail" and dumb shit like that in every post. It makes me feel like I'm back in Jr. High. To be fair, like_that isn't as bad as COA, but shit like that pretty much makes most of the conversations on here unreadable.

There is a lot of things that need to change here. I think rules like the ones on JJ are good and it worked for that site for many years. If the ads do come back to this site the rules will have to be forced like they are over there to keep the ads. Unfortunately people will get mad and call bull shit.

I can see what you are saying, however I don't typically give new posters a hard time. Only the regulars when they say stupid shit. I don't see it as acting a hard ass. If I was acting like a hard ass, I would go all SOS on you and say I was going to beat your ass (there are plenty of other posters who have had this tough guy act, I however am not one of them). I equate what I do to busting chops in real life. I do the same shit to my friends in real life. They don't go crying about it, and I am dishing it out in person. They typically dish it right back. That's normally what guys do, I don't know about the sensitive shit you go through, but you obviously haven't quit this site you. Besides, if you want to give me credit for the lack of activity of the following posters, you (along with everyone else) should be thanking me (many have already shown their appreciation): jordo, crynasty, SQ, zwick, gibby, capone, SOS, failhook, and any other dipshit poster.

Also, yes I do say pwn or fail, but I sure as hell don't say it at the same frequency as you claim. Not only that, but I have seen plenty of posters embrace the "pwn" and "fail" lingo. Just do a simple search and you will see many other posters using that lingo.

The going at each other's throats style of posting has been going on the OC since I became a member. I think people got excited when they didn't have to deal with JJ's shit, so they spoke freely. Through the few years of OC some posters realized they obviously bit off more than they could chew.
