Remember kids- USA men didn't even make the Olympics and Mexico won the Gold.
Our USMNT is banned from the Olympics, of course they didnt make it. Just like every other team in the world. But yeah, so upset that a team with completely different players and completely different coaching staffs didnt make the stupid Olympics. Mexico won the Gold. They are also dominant in U17 and U21 all the time, yet never do much at the SR level. USMNT has had more success recently.

Not even close to the same. Without looking at Mexicos full roster...I doubt a SINGLE player in yesterdays match played in London.
said_aouita;1248327 wrote:All I offer is two of Mexico's stars, who scored goals against Brazil in the Olympic finals did not play against US. Marco Fabián and Oribe Peralta were not there.

Granted, both USA and Mexico were without some of their big name players....

LOL at those guys being stars for Mexico. Peralta is 28 and I think has SINGLE DIGIT appearances for Mexico at the Senior level. I think Fabian has played once for Country at that level. At least try. Mexicos best player played yesterday, Javier Hernandez. Our best player, and arguably 2 best at this point, did not. Clint Dempsey and Jozy Altidore (Landon is 30, and Jozy is arguably better now...Clint is easily).

I mean, Im all for soccer bashing and debating the sport when done properly. But when your that uneducated about what is going on, its just ridiculous and impossible to do.

You are talking about a guy who knows nothing about any sport except for how to run in the woods.

I don't think there were any native americans playing. So I'm guessing all were imports.

But my knowledge in that one subject is near yoda-like. So, you average at best jocks in multiple sports can just blow me.

Congrats you know more about Mexican soccer than myself. I remember reading the guys who scored goals to win the gold were not playing against USA. I should have known winning the gold for your country does not mean you are a star.

To put it another way-

Graham beats Urbana in football about once every 20 years. Some people around here make a big deal out of it.
