I can't say for sure what the situation was, but you were most likely given an infraction, but it was determined that it shouldn't have been. The infraction was reversed, however, only Super Mods and justin can remove the Basement ban, the software doesn't do it automatically. So if you were forced to serve out the basement ban, it's because the ban didn't get lifted after the infraction reversal.
