You created a site to be a free for all to speak for existing members of jj to come. You set the basis of the site to be "we don't care, do what you want, just don't post porn". You created that persona, and now you are trying to change it. That's the reason, at least at this moment, that this site is kind of getting retarded. Pick one or the other but this in between that we have going on right now is killing the site(as evidenced by your ads leaving).

How is that evidence that the ads left? I have no idea why the ads left. It appears google has no idea why the ads left, either, because they gave me no notification that they were going to shut off.

Solid point. In my defense I have not made one of these threads, just contributed to them. I would hope the new members would appreciate a forum where you can openly discuss the current state of the site, and help improve it. However, I am sure it doesn't help when the new members see the mods approach these threads with a "it's our way or the high way, so fuck off" type approach. The site doesn't look quite inviting when you are going to be called a troll or accused of bitching when trying to express how to improve the site.

I will admit, I obviously was a bit aggressive this thread, and threw some insults, but it goes both ways especially when you have someone like LJ spewing his typical bullshit.

To be honest, google could've turned off ads a long time ago. Unfortunately, if I don't figure this out and get ads back on the OC dies or we'd have to start over with a new domain name or something.

I know how/why the site was created. That doesn't mean the site can't change/evolve into something different. It was stagnant staying the way it was. Not saying it has gotten any better with the changes but why not try some things to see if they work out?

You don't think you would have been notified if they were shutting down the ads on this site? Sounds like more if a glitch than anything. I had ads on my laptop yesterday.
