Cavs are reportedly out as 3rd team. Sounds like Kris will not sign a 1 year deal and the Cavs aren't willing to go any longer with the contract (as they shouldn't)

If Brooklyn and Orlando are to make a deal for Howard in near-term, it will likely be a trade between the two teams, sources tell Y! Sports.

It's nice to see Kyrie training with team USA. It will go a long way toward his development.

That actually seems like a pretty good deal all around, obviously depending on what picks/pieces Orlando gets.

Only if Howard will resign.

I think he will. The allure of being the next great Laker big, all the endorsement $, and whatever team he goes to can offer his $25 mill more. Not to mention being the franchise piece when Kobe leaves.

Yikes.
Lol....."Lewis had visited the Heat on Sunday and spoken with both the Hawks and Knicks in the following couple of days. But ultimately, he liked the fit of the Heat."

More like: "Lewis had visited the Heat on Sunday and spoken with both the Hawks and Knicks (who will both suck next season) in the following couple of days. But ultimately, he liked that he could ride Lebron/Wade to some championships."

Wow. Heat get Allen and Lewis for nothing.

Exhibit A why rings are meaningless in determining who's the better player. These guys make the NBA a joke.

This is what we talked about when LeBron chose Miami. It wasn't the big 3. It wasn't LeBron and Wade. It was the influx of players, who have made a TON of $$$, who will go ring chasing in Miami and take far less money. I said it back then this will ruin the league faster than any superstar tandems forming or behind-the-scenes scheming by players to get their way.

When you start altering the economic balance like this, you have trouble. Meanwhile, some of the inept or less-desirable franchises not only have trouble keeping their players and/or keeping them happy, but they end up paying top dollar/over market value to bring in other players. It would be different if it was like MLB for a few years where the Yankees just outbid everyone. However, this is worse...

It definitely just makes the league feel like a joke. I mean, does a championship really mean anything anymore?

Jordo will try very hard to convince you otherwise that this is GREAT for the NBA.

What a joke.

Hornets will match Phoenixs offer to Eric Gordon.

As an EJ fan, thank God. Will be much more fun to watch the young Hornets (EJ, Davis and Rivers) develope than see him go to another shitty team. First Clippers, then Hornets and then Suns lol.

They need to have individual salary floors.

If you want to make the big bucks now, you can't go ring chasin and sign for less later.

I imagine the Lakers would prefer Howard re-sign instead of resign.
