I figured Spain and Italy would get through, but I still thought Ireland would make it tough. Instead, Croatia is doing what I thought Ireland would.

Ireland just doesn't have the forwards to match up against teams like Spain. I mean, it's not even close lol.

I only saw the first goal, by Torres. It was nice. No surprise that Spain scored in the 4th or 5th minute...I did call that they'd score in the first 10 when the game kicked off.

Unfortunately, Ireland's spell is done. Bummer.

England and France both winners today? I think Sweden ... despite looking like ass against Ukraine in their first match ... will pull off the upset. An international tournament without England blowing it just wouldn't be the same.

Pouring the rain for Ukraine/France. Expect to see some misteps due to the wet conditions.

Game won't resume until at least 1pm. Would not be surprised if they bump it to tomorrow.

If it does get push to a 1 or 1:30 start, will they bump England-Sweden later?

have the europeans not heard of retractable roofs? Not impressed with their stadiums, that field is holding that water, the drainage sucks.

It's Ukraine. Their GDP per capita is a little lower than El Salvador. Lucky we get a live feed :)

Check the stadiums that were built for the WC when it was held in Germany.

I just looked and one of the stadiums they built has a retractable roof, I think it's the only one. Not the one they are playing in today, obviously.
