No, the statistics and reason that show that the drug war actually makes violence related to drugs and abuse of drugs worse. Or we can look at real world examples like Portugal or really any sort of prohibition in the past in the US even of alcohol. If the end game that you're shooting for with the drug war is to lesson violence and damage from the drug trade then you should end the damn drug war. It's really not that complex but you've got such a hard on for any type of authority that you'll never see less police, less arrests, less any sort of enforcement as a good thing.
