I have no patience for people in positions of power that are either willingly or ignorantly abuses of that power. Just like the military if society expects me to give organizations like law enforcement more respect/power than any other job then they need to be as close to perfect as possible and when people fuck up they need to be punished hard. Tired of seeing nothing being done in result to abuses of power.
You say when people commit a crime they are arrested and sit in jail. You forgot to say except for cops, who get paid leave or unpaid leave if it's really bad and then some sort of suspension or something.
I dont disagree that heads should roll for this.
When a cop is arrested, he can't keep getting paid etc. So administratively he would be suspended until he is found guilty then fired. He would still either sit in jail, post bond, or be released and given a summons in lieu of arrest. all of those are common even with non police officer arrests.
