Was the holding cell well out of the way that no one noticed him? Seems a little odd to me.

There is no excuse for leaving him there for four days, but I don't think my reaction would be to try to kill myself with my glasses and/or eat random packets of powder I found on the ground in my cell.

Oh look, another one of the countless reasons that the drug war is indefensible.

This falls into the "don't believe everything you read" category...something's just not right about this story.

shit happens, maybe he shouldn't have put himself in the position to be picked up by the DEA in the first place.

Even if it's entirely false the drug war is still entirely ineffective, a waste of money, and promotes violence. Needs to end.

With that logic, I hope you don't get caught speeding today.

Just sayin that the DEA isn't 100% to blame for this. Don't get caught in a drug raid, how hard is that to do?

Anyone that breaks the law should be held for days without food or water. No way should the DEA be held liable for their negligence. Criminals have no rights.

They are 100% to blame for the kid being left in a cell for four days. Once that kid is locked away his well being is out of his control. The DEA failed to provide the kid with basic necessities. That is 100% on them.

Yeah, he is to blame for being detained, but that is a completely separate issue.

He did something illegal and things fall through the cracks - bet he won't be doin any drugs anytime soon.

But he'll sue and win, which is what i'd do too. But i don't feel bad, DEA has more important things to do.

Maybe, maybe not. The kid was smoking marijuana. He wasn't hurting anyone.

I will be repping Raw on this one. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

The the crime totally does matter - i think because people thing pot should be legal there is some outrage, if he were a dealer or gang muscle no one would care, IMO

Wow, I can't believe people are fine with someone essentially being left in their cell to die for a non-violent crime. Hopefully no one you know or love is ever arrested for something minor and just left die.

Whether you agree with a law or not, it is still a law until it is not.
