Muhammad set the precedent for his successors and spread his religion through conquest. it is really is not important what they think of Jesus but what they think of his followers and how they act toward them. Heck they have a positive view of Abraham and Moses but they sure don’t think too much of Jews. But of course good old Muhammad ethnically cleansed and exterminated Jewish tribes. The Lebanese civil was initially, Christian (Maronite) vs. Islam (Sunni), but it was largely way more complex. The Syrians initially sided on the side of the Christians, and aided them. Then, the Israelis invaded in 82 and sided with the Christians, but also some Muslim sects.

Also add in Hezbollah and Shia Islam, which was against all sides.
So it was not so simple as Christian vs. Islam. There is a reason why it was, and is, one of the most complex civil wars of the past 100 years.


As to today, that has nothing to do with Christian vs. Muslim. It is more the state of Lebanon (Christian and Muslim) vs. Hezbollah and Syria.

Thanks for the information, it may be more complicated in this instance but around the world from Nigeria to even Indonesia the attacks are on. They drove the Jews out and the Christians are some of the few Dhimmi left and they are beginning to vanish.
