That was the sort of game that could be a "game changer". That was the most exciting finish to a game I've ever seen at Follis Field. Wooster never wins games when an underdog, and rarely sees the crowd into it like Friday night. The defense played their butts off, plain and simple. Offense still needs some work, but there's plenty of talent - it's just a matter of getting that talent the football. Haas and the boys needed that one.

Real nice win...jaco is right...those kinds of wins can change a whole season. Build off it and give Chagrin a fight this week.

So I hear the kid who is suppose to be kicking couldn't play because he got a red card in a soccer game.

If this kid doesn't come back they need to seriously consider onside kicks every time. They're only kicking it to the 35 anyways.

Hope to see some fans in Chagrin Falls friday night.

Would be great for the kids to compete and give Chagrin Falls a great game on Friday night. Chagrin is tough, and has a lot of horses back from their State runs the past few years. No doubt this game will prepare us for the OCC struggles ahead though.

I think the kicker is back this week.

Proud of the Wooster boys last night for the effort they gave. They have come a long way from week one. We were actually leading 42-28 in the third but had some breakdowns on pass defense. Keep working hard, conference play starts.

Too Many costly turnovers at the end, and a lot of broken plays turned into scores a long with with some sloppy defensive back play. I think the boys showed they can play with anyone though. No one in the occ is better than Chagrin Falls. Go get Ashland

Hoping the Wooster kids are relaxed, focused, and can play 4 quarters of mistake free football. Hopefully no more helmet throwing either....yikes! Go Woo!

I can only imagine. I saw some of Wooster's freshman game against Madison and my eyes are still burning. Poor kids. Due to not having enough kids, the team is a blend of good players and random kids grabbed out of the hallway. Remember that movie "Lucas" from the '80s? I think that kid was on the team. And Orrville has less??

Well lets just say if you have Lucas...we have his little brother and sister. Does that help?

Not only throwing helmet but doing so before play was even whistled dead. He didnt even try to go after his own fumble pretty sad, one of those so called athletes with bad attitude again. Hope coach had some words with him.

Hard to watch and we still had chance to win. If we man up and play D we may win a few if not going to be rough.

Would like to say something, even though Wooster has lost a couple tough league games at least we are not getting blown out, even by Ashland, and we are playing hard till the end of the game, this is a definite reflection on the staff. This being said the defense is no better than last year all around. Hopefully these guys can right the ship vs. Clear Fork and come away with a much needed win. I do know the staff and kids are working thier tails off like never before it is just going to take time to change the culture here in Woo town and this is too bad for some of these seniors because most of them are a good group of kids. Haas seems to be handling some of the attitudes on this team better than previous coach. We just need to find some more "FOOTBALL PLAYERS" not just athletes who play football.

I've been extremely impressed with this staff. And to have the offense functioning where it's at.. I didn't expect much, to be honest. They're far ahead of schedule.
The defense, on the other hand.. oh, boy. And it's not scheme. It's personnel. You have a secondary loaded with athletes that just do dumb things over and over again. They play soft. And the front seven.. I know they're good kids, but that might be part of the problem. I see a decided lack of nastyness and toughness. Stopping the run is oftentimes a matter of desire. Poor arm tackling is endemic to Wooster's football program, unfortunately. I think, though, Haas is smart enough to recognize these things and start putting more emphasis on playing physical football.

You are right jaco because the defense is pretty much the same kids as last year. there is one defensive lineman who is worth his weight and a couple of linebackers who get after it. Madison doubled up the backers and ran away from that lineman and no one else could stop anything. You are right about defensive backs also. Haas has been putting emphasis on a more physical footbal but like you said lack of physicallity is program wide. This may take a little to change but i think he is on the right track.

At some point the kids on defense have to decide to step-up and get physical....or settle for 1-9 and ANOTHER loss to a pretty bad Orrville team this year.

I'm skeptical that's going to happen with this group, so I think coach has two choices: start playing some of the younger guys on defense and see what they do, or start doing ALOT more tackling in practice (that is, every night for the rest of the season). That's humiliating to give up 550 yards on the ground. Madison is a good football team, but they're not that good.
