They have been trying to get the athletic commissions on board with main event fights being 5 rounds for quite awhile. The AC's initially agreed to title contendor or "caliber" fights and it appears that in order to get rid of ambiguity and opinion on who is a title contendor/caliber fighter and who is not, they have just said all title fights and main event fights.
With respect to Lesnar/Overeem, Overeem is a better overall MMA fighter, but I don't think he can stop Lesnar from taking him down.

Honestly I agree with the main event's being 5 rounds, think how many fights you wanted to see two more rounds of and that would have led in a probable finish or decisive decision instead of a controversial one. Machida/Rampage and Fitch/Penn come to mind.jmog;885355 wrote:They have been trying to get the athletic commissions on board with main event fights being 5 rounds for quite awhile. All that really needs to be said is that Dana White is the f'ing man, he always puts on what the fans want's and puts on huge fights.

If Reem let's his hands and feet go in the least Brock will be spinning away from him the whole fight until a stoppage/ko. If Reem is as tentative as he was against Verdum then he's probably going to get taken down at will and hit at least some so he'd have to try for a submission. Interesting fight.

Going to be blowing a lot of money on cards in the next couple months. 135, 136, 137, and 141 are all must sees for me.

The number one thing UFC has over boxing is the Monopoly of UFC and Dana White. There is nowhere to run, and he has instilled a culture of the best guys always fighting. No ducking and dodging behind promoters like in boxing. The fans are the winners.

I really like to see Aldo fight and Florian is a gamer. Don't know how I feel about the third installment of Edgar v Maynard, but it should be a solid showing. Also hope Brock comes out on top vs Overeem, Brock Lesnar winning is just good for the sport.

I think Dana White has seen all he wants to of Lesnar. I believe Dana made the Overeem v. Lesnar fight because he believes Lesnar will be losing and then exit from the UFC. Yes, Lesnar has been a big draw...but he's fading quickly. I like him. Always have. I hope he wins...but don't see it happening. Overeem is tough. I just don't seen Lesnar taking Overeem down. He'll probably get cocky again and try to stay on his feet just to show "he can."
Guida is my favorite! I love the fight with Benson! I am pumped about that one! That is just going to be a brawl.
