  4. Jon Jones 145
  5. Frankie Edgar 114
  6. Dominick Cruz 105
  7. Cain Velasquez 71
  8. Jon Fitch 34
  9. Gilbert Melendez 32
  10. Gray Maynard 32
Others receiving votes: Jake Shields (19), Rashad Evans (11), Nick Diaz (5), B.J. Penn (5), Dan Henderson (4), Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (3), Junior Dos Santos (2), Lyoto Machida (2)

Thoughts?

I personally would put Jones 3 ahead of Aldo and move Edgar down to maybe 7.

Fitch, Maynard don't belong on the list and Frankie is way too high imo, there are better fighters than those guys in MMA imo.

In no order these are the guys who I think are the ten best MMA fighters based on their skill sets if size were equal:

Anderson Silva
GSP
Jose Aldo
Cain Velasquez
Jon Jones
Junior Dos Santos
Lyoto Machida
Shogun Rua
Dominick Cruz
BJ Penn

Next tier would be guys like Jake Shields, Dan Henderson, Frankie Edgar, Nick Diaz, Gilbert Melendez, Fitch, Rashad, guys like that. Hard to narrow it down to only 10 though.

There is a rumor going around saying Brock might have to retire. :(

Here's the thing when it comes to this. Brock lives in isolation where few people can get a hold of him. So when it comes to news about Brock, the only two things I believe when it comes to news about him is from Dana White and his website Deathclutch.com.

His doctors reportedly advised him to retire but that doesn't mean he will.

Minotauro came out and said that the UFC wants him to fight again in December. He expects to fight either Mir or LESNAR.

There will be a full card for the fans in attendance but Velasquez-JDS will be the only fight guaranteed to be shown. I really hope for the UFC's sake that it's a nice, long, competitive fight.

Dana White is almost going all-in with this one. It's very ballsy!
