I think Chael will be the one to beat him, Chael said it best, you have to go out there and fight him, not be mesmerized by him. Silva is the best on the world but I think there are other guys who would run through that 185 weight class similarly, not trying to take anything away from him as he is amazing.

I think Chael is more bark than bite, way way way more bark. I think in the rematch thats coming soon surely, (especially since Silva took little to no damage that fight) if Silva stays healthy...he makes quick work of Sonnen instead of grinding it out. But Chael very well could pull it off, I just dont think itll happen anytime soon

Yeah he's a lot of bark lol, all he does is talk constantly. I think Chael will beat Brian Stann easily and then the rematch will happen, probably around Super bowl weekend. Chael actually got the better of the stand up when it was on the feet, I could see Chael doing the same thing he did in the first fight except not getting submitted.

Soszynski came out and said he thinks 95% of mma are using it, I think that's a bit high.

Is superbowl weekend or around there when Fox looks to kick things off or when is that?

No the first FOX card is NOV 12, but the UFC always looks to put on a huge card around the superbowl at the end of January, and if Sonnen wins vs Stann in October then the timeline sets up nicely for the rematch. My god, can you imagine the build up and trash talk from Sonnen, lol.

I thought I read if Hendo doesn't come back to the UFC at 185 to fight Silva then Stann/Sonnen would be scrapped for Silva/Sonnen 2?

Dana shot that down and said Anderson is not being considered for the NOV 12th Fox debut also.

I still think Silva will end up beating Sonnen in the first couple rounds when they face off again.

1. I was happy to see Big Nog get the W.

2. Chalk me up as a person who believes Forrest is done. I mean Shogun is a beast but I just haven't felt like Forrest is a force in the division for a while.

3. Silva toyed with Okami as he usually does and now I think he needs to face Sonnen and then move up to 205.

Reagan Penn wins his debut by rear naked choke a minute into the first round. He looked impressive, showed incredible balance and bjj just like his brother, didn't get to showcase his striking at all though.

Incredibly happy for Nog, so many people thought he was done, good to see a legend get a big win.
As for Forrest, it hurts me to see him go out and perform like that, he is so much better than what he showed tonight. He is one of the first stars in MMA and was crucial in the growth of the sport. He still has many year left to compete but his head and heart don't seem in it anymore and this is not the sport to compete halfheartedly in. I hope he regroups and comes back stronger.

Yeah, I mean Forrest is still young enough to turn it around but yeah his heart doesn't seem to be in it.

I think I read that his wife was in labor during the fight. Could be the reason he didn't looked into it last night
