I agree they may not be very successful....but I greatly disagree that it's a bad year. Very few poor performances inside the top 8......many many excellent performances. The 80's week was one of the best I can remember.

I can admit they are all talented. I guess I just don't overwhelmingly care for any of them. I usually care how the show ends up and I can't say that I do this season. Oh well.

Yeah....fine and fair. I do care who wins....but even though they are very good at what they do.....I'll be surprised if they amount to much of anything or will go see them.....but I have enjoyed this season more than most.

I hate to disagree with your last point and this is my opinion and my opinion only, I have found this season has been the least entertaining season in a number of years.

I think all the remaining contestants won't do anything. Jessica sounds like a whinny little bitch. Josh is a church singer no thanks. Phil is Dave Mathews part 2 and Hollie ain't bad but her accent annoys me lol

Yeah....No Simon hurts.....and agree the contestants aren't greatly entertaining but the talent is doing it for me.....not even all my type of music, just killer good.

Steven Tyler and Jennifer are unable to give negative feedback. That's why they had to bring in Jimmy on the results show to offer some form of constructive criticizism.

Jessica maybe whiney or whatever and I can honestly say I don't think I'd ever buy an album of hers, but she has best voice Idol has ever seen...and it may not be even that close.

Hollie is gone....but man she improved so much. She had Joshua and Jessica in dripping tears and even cool cat Phil was watery.

I think I picked Jessica about 9 weeks ago....sticking with her....but if Josh beats her...well he's unbelievable so it could happen.

If Phil wins....well, I'd strongly disagree I guess.

Watched some of this last night for the first time this season,and if these two are the best they have to offer, thank God I didn't waste my time...seriously???

I sadly agree vball. I keep hearing about how good Jessica is and as I have said before she may good but there is just something missing with her. I don't generally care for the songs she sings so that hurts her with me but I just don't think either of these two will sell many records. J-Lo told Jessica last night she will make many records. I'm not thinking so but I understand why she would tell her that at this point. Oh well hopefully X-Factor makes up for it.

Well....I was wrong. Really thought Idol rigged it. Teen girls rule. Enjoy your Phil.

That god awful duet with Jessica and Holliday was incredibly impressive but Holliday's look/face was one of the most unwatchable things I have ever seen. Thought my 8 year old was going to pee his pants laughing.

I am glad Phil won. Even more happy that I too believe the show wanted Jessica to win, and she didn't.

I told my wife during to Sanchez/Holliday duet that I would rather scrape the tattoos off my body with a steak knife than hear that ever again.

Lol not even close. I would take Kelly clarkson's vocals over anyone on idol ever. With Carrie underwood a close 2nd

I kind of like his voice, but I can't stand to watch him. He has this awkard sort of forced/uncomfortable/unnatural smile all the time. Reminds me of some of those old SNL skits where he always looks surprised at the noises coming out of his mouth.

I think Sanchez will do well with the right music. She has good control and a good voice, but I think her voice will get much better as she matures. And she's cute - has diva written all over her.

Sanchez's high notes are a bit shrill for my liking. Shrill is not a good word because she's not out of tune, I just don't care for the tone. But let's debate that question 6-8 years down the road.

Well I'll disagree with almost all of you...I thought this was one of the best years talent wise and I think a lot of the contestants stand a decent chance of careers in music. What I didn't like about this year's show was the judging which was useless. How many time did they say "over the top"? With none of the contestants (especially near the end) being really bad, I think they need to go more to a Dancing with the Stars type rating...."I like this , I didn't like that, you missed this...then give a grade. We found Jimmy's commentary and take on the previous night's show much more accurate.
