You know what sucks about not being a mod anymore?.....I have to learn how to edit things without using the mod tools. How the hell do I change my thread title?

Hell, I'm not 100 percent sure on changing thread titles, since sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn't. But it doesn't help that my home computer is stone age, so some functions don't work too well on it, so my troubles might come from failing there and just giving up instead of trying on my work computer.

I always just click next to the thread title twice, and a text box pops up. (on the forum page, not in the thread).wes_mantooth;1274193 wrote:I will have Ender script something together for me...no worries.

Love to read this, he was hit or miss in the preseason. Hopefully he settles into a pwn RT, the bain of browns oline since Ryan Tucker.BR1986FB;1274048 wrote:From PFF...
The Power of the
Schwartz
One of many to have an opening game to forget, Mitchell
Schwartz was vastly improved this week. Hope is this least-talked-about
Browns rookie will continue to develop into a reliable complement to Joe
Thomas, something that would be a huge help for the Browns. Schwartz
was the best offensive lineman on the field this week in both the run and pass
games, tallying an impressive +4.9 overall grade. He limited
Bengals defenders to just a single hurry and one QB hit which helped give
Brandon Weeden time to throw for over 300 yards. Pivotal in the ground game too,
Richardson averaged 5.3 yards on runs to Schwartz’s side as the Browns’ rookie
RT comfortably got to grips with a Bengals defensive front that looked
lackluster while missing Carlos Dunlap.

Thing o' beauty. Look at those WR's blocking downfield on T-Rich's TD run...

I noticed that Sunday when they replayed the td run...I was kind of taken by surprise because that play was executed perfectly by all 11 players.

We need some corner depth, no doubt. We also need some OLine/LB's/Safety upgrades. For the first time in a while, I was not expecting some awful offense and actually got excited when we got the ball. If we had this type of offense in the first week, we'd be 2-0.

They still weren't getting any pressure on Dalton. I was shocked to learn they had 6 sacks in that game until I realized that probably 5 of those were a yard or so behind the LOS that the LB's caught Dalton as he was about to gain positive yardage. Those count as "sacks" too, I guess.like_that;1273553 wrote:Browns RapidReports ‏@CBSBrownsDE Rucker calls pass rush a "work in progress." Pretty far along, tho. They were talking about the roof idea last night on the Hooligans and didn't like the idea at all...
Here are my thoughts:
I think putting turf down is a must....the grass field looked horrible for a week 1 game and it is time to upgrade!
Haslam is a business man, he wants to maximize his profits as much as he can and having a building that has maybe 12-15 events a year in it is not making him money. He wants to be able to have as many events in the stadium as possible. I get why he is wanting research the possibility of a roof.

I think the intent would be to draw a Super Bowl to Cleveland eventually.OQB;1275056 wrote:They were talking about the roof idea last night on the Hooligans and didn't like the idea at all...

absolutely. There is no other reason to even consider a roof except for that. A super bowl in Cleveland would be bananas, but I wonder if there are enough hotels? Jacksonville had that problem.BR1986FB;1275057 wrote:I think the intent would be to draw a Super Bowl to Cleveland eventually.

Oh, absolutely that would be a major factor in putting a roof on.

Having a roof would open up so many doors to different events. A Super Bowl, Final 4, Political Conventions, (maybe Wrestlemania) those are all events that require roofs. Not that we would get all of those by having one, but without one you can't even get in the game to put in a bid on hosting.
Having a stadium that can only be used 10-12 times a year makes no economic sense for Haslam or the city.
To pass on doing one just because people are hung up on needing Browns games with a foot of Snow in December is extremely short sighted.
Not to mention that from a players standpoint Cleveland may become more attractive if you knew that weather conditions were no longer going to be an issue here (unless the plan is to leave the stadium open at all times for Browns games even with a roof).

Yeah, I never got the "it's got to be snowy & miserable for it to be TRUE football" attitude of some of the fans in cold weather cities. I don't attend games so I have no "dog" in this fight but if you have a chance to make the local economy better (through events), you do it.IggyPride00;1275090 wrote:Having a roof would open up so many doors to different events.
