Which I might add will be a tough record to break based on how this thread is going. I say it will get to around 700 pages (gotta factor in the in game threads, which obviously take away from the post count of this thread).Commander of Awesome;1238269 wrote:Reps

And this all started with my "Factory of Sadness" thread a long long time ago, in a season far far away....
We (mostly) are all Browns fans, and we all just want SOMETHING to be positive about.
As for the Colt McCoy tweets, from everyone I have read, it's like comparing a JV Quarterback to a Varsity starter when you compare McCoy to Weeden. His ball gets there faster, and when he misses its on the sidelines where no one can catch it. Im Excited to see him next Friday in action. I feel they HAVE to give the 1st team at least 2 quarters of play since the whole damn thing is so young.
Here we go Brownies...HERE WE GO!

NE Ohio which probably explains why you don't get the games. I'm switching to DirecTV next Thursday so I'm iffy on whether I'll be getting this game either. My local networks will be out of Youngstown which means local games will be Pittsburgh but I will have the NFL Sunday Ticket so I'll end up getting all of the regular season games. Not sure how that works with preseason.shook_17;1238198 wrote:I live near toledo BR. What about you?

That means that Steeler games will be blacked out on your Sunday Ticket if they're considered your local team. DirecTV didn't enforce the local blackout in my area until last season so now I just have to watch the Steeler games on local CBS/FOX and I get the rest of the games on Sunday Ticket unless it's, say, the Giants-Cowboys 4:15 game that is already on my local FOX. I'll have to tune in to local FOX as it will be blacked out in the Sunday Ticket set of channels.
Anyways, congrats. DirecTV and Sunday Ticket are great.

How does it work for preseason? I'm assuming I'll only get the local (Steelers) games on my local channel? I don't think WKYC (Cleveland) will be a channel on DirecTV and they usually have the Browns preseason games.killer_ewok;1238373 wrote:That means that Steeler games will be blacked out on your Sunday Ticket if they're considered your local team. Unless you get KDKA (CBS affiliate in Pittsburgh), I don't think you'll get the Steelers preseason games except for the nationally televised NBC Sunday night preseason game vs. Indy. See if you can find out what your locals will be. Preseason games aren't a part of the Sunday Ticket subscription (not sure if you knew that or not).

Sounds like the offense is looking very crisp at TC today. Glowing reports on Benjamin.

[h=2]Tom Heckert: No one’s sure what will happen after sale[/h] Posted by Josh Alper on August 1, 2012, 12:38 PM EDT
APThere’s been a lot of speculation about what the impending sale of the Browns to Jimmy Haslem III will mean for team president Mike Holmgren, but he’s not the only person whose future with the organization will be impacted by new ownership.
General Manager Tom Heckert is one of those people. Heckert told Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer that he has no idea what will happen under a new owner and doesn’t expect to have any more clarity until there’s actually a new owner.
“Until we sit down with the new owner, no one’s really sure what’s going to happen,” said Heckert. “I’ve told the guys on my staff and some of the players to just keep doing what they’re doing. From a football standpoint, there’s not a whole that can be changed at this point, so it’s got to be business as usual.”
One thing that will surely affect all these fronts is the question of whether or not former Eagles president Joe Banner is involved in the ownership group. Heckert told Cabot that he doesn’t know if his former boss with the Eagles is involved, but his previous relationship with Banner would surely come into play if Banner is in fact coming to Cleveland.
Head coach Pat Shurmur and offensive coordinator Brad Childress also worked for the Eagles while Banner was in their front office, which would at least mean they wouldn’t be dealing with someone they’ve never met before. Personal relationships are important, but the best argument any of the Browns personnel can make for remaining Browns personnel will come from better results on the field. Per Cabot, no big decisions will be made until after the 2012 season plays out so the current regime should have plenty of chances to make their case.

I see him more of an Antonio brown/ sanders. But none the less he should create some mismatches in the slot.

Tim Ryan & Pat Kirwan from Sirius XM will be at Browns morning camp tomorrow. Will be interested to see their thoughts on the Browns.
They had Vic Carucci from the Browns on "Movin' the Chains" this afternoon on my drive home.
Vic, Pat & Tim apparently go way back. Pat & Tim wanted Carucci's take on the Browns and Vic came across as giddy as a schoolgirl. Bragged up Benjamin & Gordon. Said Weeden was the "real deal" who "wasn't afraid to stretch the defense versus taking the safe checkdown." Carucci also talked up McCoy saying he had "improved significantly" but still not enough to be the starter (when Tim & Pat asked if the "competition" was real or just lip service).
Carucci also said it's entirely possible that the Browns could have SIX rookies starting (5 on offense). Also talked about the sale of the team and potential ramifications for H&H and Shurmur. Overall, Carucci was pretty excited.
