Massaqui. Holmgren is talkin him up like he is going to have 1000 yards receiving and 10 plua tds. Im so tired of this turd. Either put up or shut up and join david vikeune and roboskie. That 09 draft still makes me sick.like_that;1220726 wrote:So who is going to be this year's winner of the "Brian Robiskie Training Camp MVP" award?

Back to the topic of Josh Gordon (WR-Baylor). As I mentioned, I doubt the Browns will kick the tires on this kid but if he has a solid pro day tomorrow I can't see what throwing in a bid for a 3rd rounder in the supplemental draft could hurt.
But I forgot, we have our "diamond in the rough" in Massaquoi. Mo should have a better year this year but he's given no reason to believe that he's a potential "breakout" player.

Rumblings are Gordon COULD go for a 2nd, and I thought who the hell would throw a 2nd round pick on a WR who hasn't played in a year, and then remembered we did with Little and I think that will work out long term. I don't know if Gordon is worth a 2nd, I don't know much about him other than his measurables.

If they can get a 6"3" 225lb WR who runs a 4.3 AND can catch (not sure about his hands), sign me up. Heckert's going to have to have a bit more of a sense of urgency with Weeden's "window" not being as large as a younger QB.lhslep134;1221416 wrote:Rumblings are Gordon COULD go for a 2nd, and I thought who the hell would throw a 2nd round pick on a WR who hasn't played in a year, and then remembered we did with Little and I think that will work out long term. How much longer is this McCoy stuff going to be allowed to fester?
The guy is poisoning the fan base with his cries about getting a "fair shot" and nothing good can come of him being on the roster when training camp opens.
As long as he is here he will have a small but vocal minority crying about the raw deal he got, and it is just not helpful to this team going forward.

I think he will be dealt, at some point. He has no value, right now, but when a starting QB goes down with an injury, interest could pick up.IggyPride00;1221443 wrote:How much longer is this McCoy stuff going to be allowed to fester?

I'd be surprised if they just released him, getting nothing in return.
I think the front office thinks there's really not much difference between McCoy & Wallace (as far as a dropoff goes) except McCoy is younger.

What McCoy stuff? There is no poison at all lmao. You are acting like he is Tim Tebow.IggyPride00;1221443 wrote:How much longer is this McCoy stuff going to be allowed to fester?

You literally don't get it at all. He's not poisoning anything, he's actually been very mature with his responses to the situation. The sky is not falling iggy, you can put the tin foil away.IggyPride00;1221443 wrote:How much longer is this McCoy stuff going to be allowed to fester?

Myself and another OC poster have heard there's been some whining behind the scenes. You're not really going to hear about that when he gets in front of a mic/camera. He'll play the good soldier, as needed. Either way I don't really care. If they deem him a distraction and want to get rid of him, so be it.like_that;1221500 wrote:What McCoy stuff? I am by NO means a McCoy fan, I'm actually glad we drafted Weeden (just wish it had been later).IggyPride00;1221443 wrote:How much longer is this McCoy stuff going to be allowed to fester?

However, McCoy didn't say anything wrong in that interview. He was asked if he would get a fair shot and his exact quote was "We'll see, I don't know".
He was being honest, he isn't sure if he will or not. He's not retarded, you don't draft a QB in the 1st round on a team that struggled on offense for the guy NOT to play.
That was actually sensationalized some by the reporter.

There has been alot of it from what's been reported. It picked up when his camp had his agents leak that story about the Browns promising they wouldn't draft a QB in the first round.Myself and another OC poster have heard there's been some whining behind the scenes.
He plays the good soldier for the cameras as you mentioned, but all the while he has his minions complaining and planting stories to make him look sympathetic and wronged.
Someone needs to let his whole family in on the fact it isn't CYO football anymore, and there is so such thing as "fair" in professional sports.

Looks like the Browns will at least do their due diligence on Gordon...

Doing their due diligence: Part of Gordon’s pro day will involve answering questions from teams about his bad decisions. According to a source, Heckert has talked with Gordon “for a long time” and has talked to others about him. At this point, Heckert does not believe Gordon’s issues are a deal-breaker.

If he is catching the ball...throw a 3rd rounder at him...Im assuming it goes by this years draft position?(as far as tie breaker).BR1986FB;1222370 wrote:Doing their due diligence: Part of Gordon’s pro day will involve answering questions from teams about his bad decisions. I'd probably be more inclined to throw a 4th rounder but that might not do it.bases_loaded;1222387 wrote:If he is catching the ball...throw a 3rd rounder at him...Im assuming it goes by this years draft position?(as far as tie breaker).

I hope heckert pulls the trigger on this guy. He's big, he's fast and he would instantly make our receing core that much better.

If so, I doubt he would instantly make the core that much better.
