One NFL source tells ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi the Browns didn't release Colt McCoy after drafting Brandon Weeden because they didn't want to "pile on" the former third-rounder.
The Browns understand that McCoy hasn't exactly gotten a fair shake in terms of surrounding talent and chances to succeed through two seasons. According to Grossi, the team won't demand much in a trade this summer because they would like to find McCoy "a new team, a new opportunity, to spare him the ignominy of being released." Holmgren was on Kiley & Booms this morning (I didn't listen). If he went on THAT show, with that clown Booms, I have to believe that he will be more accessable. What I found interesting from this link is how he is going to take a more active role in the actual coaching...

I think I'd want some sort of assurance he won't continue to be a cock bag before taking a flyer on him. Dude has been less than worthless for a few years now, hasn't he? Sure, if he does "flip a switch", he's been great...but I don't know if he cares enough to even try any more. This is my belief as well.
