Have heard that two teams have Gilmore ranked above Claiborne.

Are you FRIGGIN kidding me? Don't know which team it is but the Browns supposedly have an offer BETTER than last years Atlanta deal but are expected to NOT take it and stay put?
Their top 2 rated players on their board are T-Rich & Blackmon.
They have Weeden rated higher than Tannehill.
Have talked to JAX about trading down to 7.
Browns have Gilmore rated equally with Claiborne at corner.
Sounds like Richardson will be the pick over Blackmon.

Would you guys trade down for a greater haul than last years' Falcons deal? I'd have to imagine the team in question is in the late teens/early 20's at a minimum to collect that big of a haul. JAX, at 7, isn't giving up that much.

Janoris Jenkins and Dre Kirkpatrick are still on their board too (haven't been discounted due to character concerns)

Good. I like Jenkins at 37 if he is till there. He is a Pac Man Jones Knucklehead, but Pac man had a few productive years, I think he has the most upside of any of the CBs in the draft.BR1986FB;1151345 wrote:Janoris Jenkins and Dre Kirkpatrick are still on their board too (haven't been discounted due to character concerns)

A lot of people think he's a better pure cover corner than Claiborne. He's also a natural RCB and has played opposite of Haden who prefers the LCB position.OneBuckeye;1151349 wrote:Good. Not sure if anyone had seen this. Now all we have to do is draft some clay pigeons to go with him. Unfortunately their YAC is terrible..

I don't blame them for passing on a bigger offer if it means trading out of the top 10. We passed on Julio Jones last year, I would hate to see us pass on an explosive playmaker again...

I think I saw it five pages ago.
It's impressive even if you don't want him

I don't think they would drop out of the top 10. The lowest I could see them dropping is to 10 and that's only if Kalil falls to 4.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1151509 wrote:I don't blame them for passing on a bigger offer if it means trading out of the top 10. Well if we're being offered a bigger package than last year and still remaining inside the top 10, I would say that we should take it and continue to wheel and deal to move multiple picks up in the draft.

I don't think that will necessarily be the case but I'm getting the feeling they will trade down if they take Lamar Miller in the 2nd.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1151524 wrote:Well if we're being offered a bigger package than last year and still remaining inside the top 10, I would say that we should take it and continue to wheel and deal to move multiple picks up in the draft.

Maybe Antonio Cromartie would be a good comparison too. Jenkins already has 4 kids with 3 different women.

This is my opinion, but if Richardson wasn't the best RB prospect I've seen in my time alive I'd be fine with trading down. I know the league de-values running backs, but there's too big of a gap between Richardson and the RBs below him compared to the gap between Blackmon and WRs below him.
I absolutely do not want another team, especially a team picking in the late teens meaning they already have something decently solid in place to get Richardson.

I think Jenkins is a better cover corner than Cromartie and think his character concerns would be less worrisome playing alongside his buddy Haden.

Be careful what you wish for because if this happens I'd be pretty certain that they'd be going after Weeden too.DeyDurkie5;1151600 wrote:The 4th pick is going to be blackmon. book it!

I'll pass on Jenkins. If the Browns were a good team, then it would be worth taking a shot on a troubled player, but we can't afford, imo, to take a player that is so unpredictable.OneBuckeye;1151349 wrote:Good. I don't think they will. Blackmon, RT/RB with the 2nd first round pick. If Weeden falls to their 2nd round pick, then maybe I could see that.BR1986FB;1151611 wrote:Be careful what you wish for because if this happens I'd be pretty certain that they'd be going after Weeden too.
