He's not as good with anticipatory throws/as accurate, which is pretty much my entire reasoning for wanting Moore. I certainly wouldn't be disappointed taking a flier on Wilson though.OneBuckeye;1145181 wrote:If you like Moore, Russell Wilson does everything bettter

I wouldn't mind grabbing Wilson in like the 5th or 6th round. If we take a QB this year, I hope its him and I hope its not til late.

Richardson takes cancer survivor to her prom.

Nice gesture by Richardson!Former Tide running back Trent Richardson accompanied Hueytown High School senior and cancer survivor Courtney Alvis to her prom on Saturday night, a move that Richardson said was made in part to honor his mother, who is also a cancer survivor.

Solid point. I'd much rather take a late flier on Wilson than an early one on Tannehill or Weeden.Y-Town Steelhound;1145161 wrote:Yes, Wilson is short which doesn't necessarily preclude him from a successful NFL career (see Drew Brees) but it cannot simply be ignored that he played and succeeded behind an NFL caliber NFL line in terms of size. Here are the numbers for Wisconsin's 2012 offensive line:
Ricky Wagner - Left Tackle - 6'6" 320lbs.
Travis Frederick - Left Guard - 6'4" 330lbs.
Peter Konz - Center - 6'5" 315lbs.
Kevin Zeitler - Right Guard - 6'4" 315lbs.
Josh Ogelsby - Right Tackle - 6'7" 330
That's about as close to an NFL sized line as you're going to find in college. If you're a short quarterback you have to be able to find windows and Wilson has shown he can do that. Intangibles, arm strength, and accuracy are what you would want in a quarterback and he played in a pro-style system and in cold weather. Can't say I'd complain if the Browns took a flyer. Very low risk, high reward move.

Moore had a slightly higher completion percentage but Wilson faced tougher defenses. It's all relative. FWIW Wilson threw less INT's

He seems like a solid kid. I know his story is pretty awesome... Would really like to see him in a Browns uniform!sportswizuhrd;1145328 wrote:Richardson takes cancer survivor to her prom.

honestly wouldn't mind taking a chance on either of them in the later rounds. I dont know if I like either of them better than the other, but I think both have potential to be a great value in terms of where they will more than likely be drafted.Y-Town Steelhound;1145381 wrote:Moore had a slightly higher completion percentage but Wilson faced tougher defenses. IMO I like Russell Wilson. He's a good athlete, has a strong arm, smart, and has played in the WCO at NC State and played behind a huge OL at Wisky. I know he's around 5'11 but I think he could have what it takes to make it. Here are his #'s his Sr year at Wisconsin: I would take him over Kellan Moore.

lol this is pathetic. You guys are trying to talk yourselfs into Wilson and Moore? You're debating trash and 3rd string QBs in the NFL. The Browns thread should just vote to stop talking QB until the draft is over.

So who's on everyone's draft wish list? Guys you'll be happy if the Browns end up with, regardless of the round they're expected to go.
These guys would make me happy in a couple weeks...
DeCastro
Kendall Wright
Zach Brown
Lavonte David
Chris Polk
Cliff Harris
Joe Adams
Emmanuel Acho

Wilson may start out as a 3rd string QB depending on what team he goes to, but if you think that'll be the best he does than it confirms everything that I've ever thought about your knowledge of the game of football.Commander of Awesome;1145458 wrote:lol this is pathetic. Quite simply if he were 4 inches taller he'd be a 1st round pick given his resume and skills. He threw 33 touchdowns and 4 interceptions behind an NFL sized offensive line in a major conference (that plays in cold weather) where they actually play defense. Not to mention he has a strong arm and ran a 4.5 forty yard dash. This would be one of those guys like Tony Romo that you take a chance on and just might see results.

lol. guarantee at least one of them is a starter at some point in their career. 5th and 6th round QBs arent supposed to be starters. That is giving you good value for a pick.Commander of Awesome;1145458 wrote:lol this is pathetic. You guys are trying to talk yourselfs into Wilson and Moore? Bottom line, all the signs are there for 3 yrs down the road to look at Tannyfail and think, its so obvious he was going to be a bust, wtf was that GM thinking. I just hope its not Heckert and the Browns to make that mistake.

10. Speaking of the Browns, they will be involved in three trades in the first round. They will deal #4 and fall back, then deal up from where they fell back to by adding one of their 3rd round picks to select either Michael Floyd or Justin Blackmon. And as stated above, #22 will be dealt as well as the Browns comfortably fall backwards and still get Brandon Weeden as their QB with their 2nd round pick.
Haha heads will explode if this happens.
