The more I think about it I would be willing to take tannehill at 22 and let him sit behind McCoy for next year. But that is the only way I want him.

Everything I hear makes me think we're seriously considering Weeden at #22. That pisses me off because of his age and he's a big 12 QB. Yet if he's the real deal and we get 6 yrs out of him, that's better than any QB we've had since Bernie.

Read today where Mike Wallace doesn't have much interest in signing his tender with the Steelers. I believe they will get a third round pick if he leaves as a free agent after the season. If they look to trade him if they don't get a deal done I would not mind giving our #22 pick for him but that's just me

That article did a terrible job at expaing that.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the Eagles and Rams are both "believed to be" interested in trading up to the Browns' pick at No. 4 overall.
The Plain Dealer gives the Browns a "decent chance" of trading out of No. 4. "At least three or four" clubs drafting in the top 20 have reportedly phoned Cleveland, with St. Louis and Philadelphia thought to be among them. The Eagles could be targeting Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill, while the Rams may be eyeing LSU CB Morris Claiborne, Alabama RB Trent Richardson, or Oklahoma State WR Justin Blackmon. One source told Browns beat reporter Mary Kay Cabot that the Chiefs "would probably not trade up" for Tannehill. It's believed no trade for the No. 4 pick would occur until draft day. Keep in mind the story comes out of Cleveland, and may have been leaked by the Browns to generate interest in the fourth pick.

If Holmgren doesn't believe me, he should consult with his good friend and ESPN analyst Jon Gruden before thinking of trading back.
“The easiest thing to do is turn around and hand the ball to somebody 300 times a year,” Gruden said in a conference call. “Everybody says, ‘Don’t take a running back. You can get those guys in the fifth, sixth or seventh round.' You go try to find Trent Richardson in the fifth, sixth or seventh round."
Gruden added, “He’s a beast. He broke all of Emmitt Smith’s high school rushing records in Florida. I’ve seen him run over people, run around people, he protects the ball, he can catch it, can pick up blitzes. He might be the strongest human being on the planet."

I'm agreeing with Jon Gruden.
IMO, the biggest impact player for the Browns is there at #4 and it's Trent... Justin Blackmon will not make the impact Trent will for the Browns.

That's if we SIGN him not if they realize that they (Steelers) can't resign him and end up TRADING him before they are stuck with a 3rd rounder figuring he finishes this coming year first and leaves as a free agent.bases_loaded;1143840 wrote:For the 100th time...thank you for explaining that again. And this is how it should be. Why would the Browns want the other teams to know what they want/what they're going to do? So every time you see an article that says "the Browns are interested in ____________" it's just talk to get viewers on their site lol

Are you suggesting they'd trade Wallace to another team in the division? No. Fucking. Way.
Anyways, saw this on Twitter and thought it was appropriate to post on here...

As much as I hate Peter King, he is more credible than most of the dipshits that I have seen cited on this thread. Anyway, that's what I like to see. Hate being predictable. Now, if only the offense would be as unpredictable...

I highly doubt the Browns FO has made a decision at this point. Even if they've laid out scenarios A, B, and C for who's available I bet the debate is still ongoing for who to take.
