I know a lot of you don't want Weeden but that aside, what is the WORST move that you think the Browns could make that you would absolutely hate? For me, it would be trading up to #3 with the Vikes and then drafting Tannehill...

I'll tell ya what, the more film I watch on Weeden, the more content I am becoming to the thought of taking him with an early pick. He has a very strong arm, a nice quick release, good touch, pocket awareness, and is obviously talented and a competitor. It's not often that a guy gets drafted into the MLB and NFL, while also walking onto his collegiate golf team. Pretty impressive for the young man, even if he is already 28.BR1986FB;1139228 wrote:I think they are doing this with a few because I think Claiborne & Richardson may have stayed over too.

If the Browns draft Tannehill at all I would be very disappointed. The only situation I would be okay with is if they took him in the third round, but the thought of taking him in the first is absolutely mind boggling to me.BR1986FB;1139229 wrote:I know a lot of you don't want Weeden but that aside, what is the WORST move that you think the Browns could make that you would absolutely hate? taking a QB with one of our first three picks. If we trade up to get tannehill, I'll burn down cleveland browns stadium.BR1986FB;1139229 wrote:I know a lot of you don't want Weeden but that aside, what is the WORST move that you think the Browns could make that you would absolutely hate? Yeah, but I still won't forgive using a first round pick on him... so they better at least wait until 37!BR1986FB;1139233 wrote:Prepare to be bashed...

greg cosell pwns. He's awesome and I really respect his opinion. He's one of the guys I don't think is a front running POS (Scott Wright, Jeff Risdon).

Not necessarily "on topic" but out of boredom I'm channel surfing and just flip over to the Lake Erie Monsters game. Had no clue the local
station has that Steelers shill, Kenny Roda, covering their games.
During the second period recap he describes the Monsters' head coaches meltdown as "Bill Cowher-esque." EVERY chance he gets to throw something
Steelers related in there, he does. Man I hate that tool.

Tell me again how good Drew Henson was? ThanksDr. KnOiTaLL;1139231 wrote: It's not often that a guy gets drafted into the MLB and NFL
I can't understand people's infatuation's with film of him or Tannehill playing against terrible defenses. Ryan Mallett is a better prospect than Tannehill or Weeden, putting up better efficiency stats in a MUCH harder conference.

Yeah, because it's a "given" that Weeden will be another Drew Henson since they came from the same mother/have the same DNA and all....:rolleyes:lhslep134;1139358 wrote:Tell me again how good Drew Henson was? Thanks

Well he said not many QB's have done that. And none have been successful. Weinke was great too :rolleyes:BR1986FB;1139363 wrote:Yeah, because it's a "given" that Weeden will be another Drew Henson since they came from the same mother/have the same DNA and all....

No...McCoy will be fine since he's SO much like Drew Brees and their comparison is uncanny.shook_17;1139365 wrote:^^ I guess we shoulf give up on mccoy too. Since he played in the big 12 also.

If you choose to interpret it that way, be my guest, I'm merely saying Weeden is a lateral move at best, hence a waste of a pick if taken before the 3rd round.shook_17;1139365 wrote:^^ I guess we shoulf give up on mccoy too. Since he played in the big 12 also.

way to twists words around there BR. Never said he would be a hall of famer, just saying that just about every QB struggles in their full year as a starter. Especially when he has an offense like McCoy had last year.BR1986FB;1139367 wrote:No...McCoy will be fine since he's SO much like Drew Brees and their comparison is uncanny. He also had a better start to his career than a few Hall of Fame QB's so he's a "lock" for Canton.
Let's draft weeden and ignore all of our other glaring needs because that one person will lead us to the promised land!!

Weeden has better physical tools (much taller, cannon for an arm) and will open up the offense. The current QB neuters it with his lack of ability to make ALL of the throws. Disagree, BIG TIME, that Weeden is a "lateral move."lhslep134;1139371 wrote:If you choose to interpret it that way, be my guest, I'm merely saying Weeden is a lateral move at best, hence a waste of a pick if taken before the 3rd round.

I forgot, we were talking about Dr knowitall's point about QBs who played baseball too, so bringing up Weinke and Henson is irrelevant for comparison.
Are you that blinded that you ignore relevance?

The Hall of Famer comment was sarcasm (obviously not detected) but it's funny how the McCoy supporters excuse is ALWAYS 'well look how XYZ Hall of Fame QB started his career" and some idiot wants to bash Weeden because it's a given he will be Henson or Weinke.' Never facts, just emotions...never see the missed opportunities, panicking to check down or holding the ball too long, inaccurate passes, etc...always on the receivers and O-Line, NEVER Lil Pony's fault...DeyDurkie5;1139374 wrote:way to twists words around there BR.
