The guy has started 2 games in his career, if he hits the mother load this one is strictly a Holmgren call as Heckert would never pony up huge dollars for a guy with Flynn's profile.

The Browns are also a team interested in DE Jeremy
Mincey, according to league source. Apparently, plenty of interest in him...

I'm wondering if a lot of this 'Flynn to the Browns" stuff is BS but I'm passing on what I'm hearing/seeing.

$20 million guaranteed to Matt Flynn for anyone is a disaster waiting to happen.
If he doesn't have that 6 touchdown game he is looking at a quarter of that as guaranteed money, it would be craziness.
I hope you are correct that it is not being considered right now.

I'm pretty sure the Flynn deal is going to go down.
I don't have any sources or info, I just know that it's the exact move I've been saying I didn't want the Browns to make for months now, so it seems like an inevitability.

It could go either way....Part of me likes it because he has been in the WCO and backup to Rogers for his entire career, and when given opportunities, he has shined. Another part of me see's us winning 4 or 5 games next year even with Flynn, and we miss out on the best QB in the draft next year.
Like usual, we are in a lose lose situation here.

If the Browns lose out on Flynn it is looking like they might be forced to take Tannehill at 4.
Jason Campbell is off the board now to Chicago, Orton is rumored to be heading to Dallas possibly, and they were the best of the also rans.
I didn't want them, but to me either would have been an upgrade over McCoy.
As the QB's come off the board, if we don't land Flynn it is literally going to end up being Tannehill at 4 or another season of McCoy.
The market is just so thin for QB's right now that Flynn is going to end up being drastically overpaid by a desperate team.

I have already prepared myself that Manning will end up in Denver, because that was the only place he could go that didn't have a positive ripple effect for the Browns. It just seems like that has been our luck of late.like_that;1115428 wrote:Still waiting on Cards to see what they do with "John" Kolb.
