LOL at wasting a 2nd round pick on Weeden.

I'm not a Colt fan for what it's worth, but I want NOTHING to do with Weeden. I'd much rather continue to address more needs than find a stop gap at QB.

ahh so another shitty year will be fine with you? thats good to know.
So you honestly think Weeden makes this team a playoff contender? Because if we're not contending I dot give a shit. 7-9 and 4-12 is the same damn thing in my eyes. They both mean shit.

and to your second have you seen mccoy play? whats the job of the qb? A. to make the players around you better, which he does not. B. to sling the rock and win games. he will never be in brady, brees, rodgers, rothlisburger, netwon, both mannings, catagory. that is what the answer is to me, a qb like that and colt mccoy could only dream to be that good. "game mangers" are such great qbs though

EDIT: 6-15 as a starter and 0-10 vs the AFC north. you can have him durkie.

what else would you like to know?
Yes he had a shitty year. So did a bunch of future hall of famers. The whole point I have been trying to make is last year was basically fucked from the beginning. No offense, no offensive playmakers, etc. I've harped on it. The fact that you guys are giving up on him after one year is just retarded. ABSOLUTELY no need to draft a QB with those first 3 picks. Get some fucking talent on the offensive side, solidify the line, and if McCoy blows ass this next year, look at drafting a QB with your first pick in the draft. Starting over with Weeden is just dumb.

maybe not this year, but in next season sure. if we went blackmon 4th david wilson 22 and weeden at 37 that gives our offense a nice boost. weeden is 6'4 221 a big boy, has a very good arm and would force the defense to actually respect the deep ball. im not a GM i don't see what they see, i could be wrong i could be right, its just my opinion.
our starting line up would look like.

QB-weeden
RB-wilson, hardesty, jackson
WR-blackmon, little, norwood, cribbs, mass
TE-moore, watson, cameron

i think thats a pretty good offense and with a year under there belt and another draft to add a little more defense watch out.

Wasting any pick before the 4th round on a 29 year old QB is just retarded. Especially when he's not elite talent.

well he is 28. and according to all the "experts" IF he was 22 23 he would be a top ten pick. all the articles i have seen and todd mcshay, and kiper have both said it.

Lol. It's so hilarious to hear you guys say all this shit about Weeden. I heard Derek Anderson had a big arm and great size as well.

He's 28 now but he turns 29 in October.

If he was 22/23 this would be a different scenario, however I still wouldn't be that high on a system QB.

not disagreeing except that McShay and Kiper are just talking heads that are rarely correct. I would take the guy from NFL network over those two idiots.

for every hall of fame qb that did make it there, there are 10 shitty qbs that didn't amount to shit. but lets be honest, is it really starting over? this team sucks ass lol

DA didn't have the brains you dumbass, weeden does. look at DA stats compared to weeden. DA had 79 td passes to 57 ints, weeden had 71 tds 27 ints. stop reaching for shit. DA couldn't hold weedens jock strap.

i know he is 29 in october, its april. why is it different? talent has absolutely nothing to do with age. RGIII is a system qb, so are you not high on him?

I believe it is starting over. Our offense sucks ass. Our defense/special teams are good. We just need to get some playmakers in there. If McCoy shows he can do well in this offense with weapons, then we don't have to waste another offseason worrying about that. Yet, your idea of turning this team around is drafting a 28 year old college kid with no NFL experience. Great plan!

Pretty much, if not it sure sets the team back. Instead of drafting some actual value they are burning a top pick on a QB that is most likely not to do shit. Since you hate Colt McCoy so much, let's take a look at the 2010 draft.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_NFL_Draft

Now look what the Browns could have drafted instead of Colt McCoy at that point in the draft. Or take a look at the talent the Panthers passed up on for Jimmy Clausen.

lol i DON"T hate colt mccoy. he can stay in cleveland as the back up. just because i think he isn't going to led the browns to the promise land and break records doesn't mean i hate him. come on dude! i would glady eat crow the rest of my life he turns out to be a badass. i just don't see it.

I don't either, in fact I don't think many fans here see him being that good, but we sure as hell don't want to see an idiotic pick such as Tannehill or Weeden. I don't understand why you can't comprehend that. I'd much rather watch McCoy on a shitty offense for another seasons than watch us waste a pick on a 29 y/o QB and watch what will also be a shitty offense. You are getting way too infatuated with his college stats. If college stats were any indicator than Danny Weurfel, Jason White, Matt Leinart, Akilli Smith, Chris Weinke, that Hawaii QB, etc would have been stars in the NFL.

I'd much rather take Kellen Moore in the later rounds than Tannefail or Weeden in the earlier rounds. At least with Moore if he sucks we can put him on the bench and he can learn from watching. WTF do we do with Weeden if he turns out to suck ass? Put our 29 year old QB on the bench so he can watch for a few years? LMAO.

Throwing around shit? Everything I said is true. He'll be 29. He's a system QB. He had a 45% completion rate UNDER PRESSURE IN COLLEGE! HOw do you think that translates to the NFL? (hint: see Derek Anderson)

His college team aso had way more talent than DA's did.

You're looking for a stop gap. Weeden is old. He's peaked, and he'll be worthless in a few years. Then what?

Stop gaps are not worth a top 2 pick at all, especially when it isn't even close to a forgone conclusion that he will be productive.
