We could go WR/RB with the next two picks. I like David Wilson/Lamichael James with one of those picks if we don't get Richardson.
my only thing with kahil would be that you would be automatically changing the position of your first round draft pick and the 4th player selected overall. im sure its not a hard transition but its still a transition nonetheless

Why would ANYONE want to draft a 28 year old with one of their first 2 picks? We are talking about a 28 year old QB... If we waste a pick on him, we're not addressing the rest of the offense.

When we don't address the rest of the offense we're going to throw a 28 year old system QB into the fire of an offense with no legit playmakers. Say it takes him 2 years to fully grasp the offense.. He'll be 30 fucking years old.

If I'm wasting a pick on a QB, I want one who will be a FRANCHISE QB... NOT A STOP GAP.

GTFO

I'll take my chances next year and try to get Matt Barkley or whoever.

Because he is NFL READY! He will instantly make this team better! It's a forgone conclusions that he would give us 5-6 years of productivity (which is MORE than what we ever had!!!!) and be MUCH better than McCoy /desperatefans.

Also after 2 years, you might as well say he would be 31 years old, because his birthday is in October. The dude is going to be a 29 year old rookie by week 4-5 in the NFL.

I still want to know what makes him NFL ready. His age? LMAO

He'll be the oldest and least experienced QB in the AFC North. No thanks.

He is near 1.5 years younger than Rapisterbeger, but still.

He has a big arm, pocket awareness and size. All 3 qualities McCoy lacks.

lol. How do you know he has NFL pocket awareness? It's easy in college to have pocket awareness when you're snapping from the shotgun the entire time.

Pocket awareness? Yeah?

Here's his Scouts, Inc. scouting report:
Most concerning is that Weeden struggles with his accuracy when throwing under pressure, which he will be forced to do far more frequently in the NFL. In four games charted in 2011, he completed just 45 percent of his throws when under pressure with a two TDs and 3 INTs.

lol, 45% under pressure... In college... With a high powered offense...

Yeah, sounds like somebody I want to draft with 1 of my top 2 picks.

To top it off, he's 28, soon to be 29 this year!

I don't think that Colt is the answer, but some of you hate him so much that you are letting that get in the way of seeing what guys like Tannehill and Weeden are. They are more than likely not the answer. It would have been nice if our organization addressed the QB position...but there are plenty of other needs to take care of. This team sucks...plain and simple, fixing the qb position helps, but doesn't solve everything.

this. i don't hate colt mccoy, hes a tough kid, has balls, and is easy to like. he is obviously not the answer. i do think weeden is going to be a good qb for 5 to 7 years. but only time will tell.

If he balls out this year, are you going to flip your opinion again? Or do you just believe what BR says?

Also, how do you even know that is remotely true?

lol not aloud to change an opinion on anybody? i didn't know that. define ball out? what 30 td passes 10 ints and 4000 yards passing? it will never happen, i think he has only had 1 300 yard game during his 2 years in cleveland, and that was with 50 completions and 62 attempts against the titans while they were in prevent defense after the first quarter. yeah i just believe what BR says because we havent disagreed before, nice fail though.

and to your second have you seen mccoy play? whats the job of the qb? A. to make the players around you better, which he does not. B. to sling the rock and win games. he will never be in brady, brees, rodgers, rothlisburger, netwon, both mannings, catagory. that is what the answer is to me, a qb like that and colt mccoy could only dream to be that good. "game mangers" are such great qbs though

EDIT: 6-15 as a starter and 0-10 vs the AFC north. you can have him durkie.

what else would you like to know?

I don't hate Colt. Quite the opposite actually. He is a very likable guy and I really want him to do well.....I just don't think he can do it. I've been warming to the thought of Weeden for awhile. I'm not sure about 22, but I'd love him at 37. I've listened to a couple interviews with scouts who say other than Luck he is the most NFL ready QB in this draft. I won't go crazy if they take him, but I won't lose any sleep if they don't either.
