The only reason he was suspended is because he's a repeat offender. I'm not really concerned about him missing a game. Pittsburgh will plug someone else in his spot and not miss a beat.

This kind of a hit is why the rule was put in place. He easily could have buried Colt with a hit to the mid section. But he didn't. He hasn't learned from his past mistakes. A fine and 2 game suspension is warranted.

Sure, and that is good enough.

Well no kidding, it seems the only time he has a "problem" is when they play the Browns. He needs to quit worrying about trying to "hurt people" and just make the damn tackle. Problem solved.

According to the ESPN announcement, that was his 5th illegal hit in 3 seasons. I'm wondering if that includes the one against Fitzpatrick from last year that was complete bullshit.

And I would say that's why most that said he needs to be suspended thinks he should have been suspended.

Rule 12, Section 2, Article 13 (8) and (3) of the NFL Rule Book (page 75-76) is applicable to the roughing the passer penalty called against Harrison. It states: "When a passer is outside the pocket area, he is still afforded the protection of Rule 12, Section 2, Article 13 (3), which prohibits defensive players from using their helmet against a passer who is in a defenseless posture ... regardless of whether the defensive player also uses his arms to tackle the passer by encircling or grasping him."

He does seem to go a little more crazy against the browns. Maybe it is his Ohio roots or something.

I'd love for him to play against the Browns in 2 weeks. Let Joe Thomas show him who's boss.

Wut? Those pusses didn't stand up to Harrison when he threw the cheapshot. What makes you think they will grow a set in a few weeks' time?

SMFH, good fucking point. Lost in all this commotion is the fact nobody got in Harrison's face. This is why I want the Browns to draft an asshole. They need it. Last time I saw somebody get fired up was when Mack's nuts were squeezed in a pile.

Seems they have that down to a science already with their record over the last 13 years.

They were talking about this the other day on 92.3 and the reasoning was "none of the O-Linemen saw it happen" and "they were close to scoring and didn't want the 15 yard penalty and possible ejection." Sounds like a Brad Daugherty excuse when they watched Rick Mahorn try to take Mark Price's head off.

By close to scoring you do mean a FG right?

You have had shitty attempts to troll, but this might be the worst I have ever seen. Quit trying so hard, and keep praying. God might have mercy on your pathetic soul.

I think they've been like this for awhile. The days of Doug Dieken kicking Jack Lambert in the ribs when he ventured onto the Browns sideline are gone. :D
