The rumor...according to BearcatsBlog on Twitter was that Kenny went into the stands and hit a fan which turned out to be a UC assistant coach's wife.

Now I know that isn't true. If a player went into the stands, there is no way that would have not been mentioned yet. Nobody went into the stands. The closest to that was Tu going over and standing on the press table.

I'm pretty confident now that this one is just a rumor.

I heard that the Kenny Frease butchered a family that had stopped him for an autograph on the way to his car. Any truth to this on Twitter? Probably not true.

I heard a caller claim that on the 700 WLW call in show after the game. He was supposed to have been seated behind the UC bench. I have yet to read it in print yet.

The Frease incident allegedly was caught on camera. It has been posted to youtube. Watch the 3:20 mark of this video. Frease goes over towards the UC fanbase,jumps into the stands and is either throwing a punch or swining his arms. He is pulled away by an XU player wearing his warmups.

Talking during this game has happened for about the last 10 years. Actually for 39 minutes and 50 seconds it was one of the most tame shootouts I had ever seen. Then Tu goes up and says something to the UC bench who is getting their asses kicked (I'll actually talk about the game in a second) and they didn't handle that very well obviously. Dez Wells comes up and tries to defend Holloway. Wells is an 18 year old who got caught up in the moment and escalated the damn thing to a riot. Yancy Gates is on video throwing and actually hitting 2 separate players. Then whoever 13 is from UC, attempted (don't know if he was successful) at kicking poor ogre Kenny Frease in the face. Bottom line both teams were full of a bunch of morons.

At this point they call the game with whatever time is on the clock, and while it looks bad for both sides, I think you could have made an argument that X's kids looked bad but UC's looked like insane people (thank you Yancy). Then the press conference comes, and Holloway says some of the dumbest shit I have ever heard. He turned the conversation from the fight to the fact that he takes things WAY too seriously apparently. Mack should have never made the 2 of them available. Cronin handled the press conference beautifully and scored a ton of points. Now its a different discussion if he actually goes through on anything he said (I don't think he will).

As for the game, X finally played 40 minutes of basketball and looked clearly superior to a team finally. Complete game by everybody. Holloway and Lyons did their usual thing and we finally got production from Frease. Wells was awesome as he has been every game.

UC is terrible though. Legit awful. Can't shoot, can't defend, can't rebound. Just bad. That was a ranked team to start the season? Man.

Summary: Tu Holloway is an idiot who takes sporting events too seriously. Yancy Gates is common street trash from Withrow who will end up in prison someday.

I do think Cronin will get rid of a few players or at least yancy and other receive long suspensions. He didn't seem like a guy who wanted to even be around them.
