[h=3]Clippers Offer DeAndre Jordan Five-Year, $40M Deal[/h]Dec 06, 2011 3:50 AM EST
The Clippers have offered DeAndre Jordan a five-year, $40 million offer, according to sources.
Jordan, a restricted free agent, may still sign an offer sheet with a higher dollar amount that forces the Clippers to match.

I still highly doubt it happens.

Yeah, I don't understand how it would. What do the Lakers have to offer? I don't see anyway that could happen

Well its the Lakers so we'll have to listen to BSPN talk about it an Brett Farve nausea. I suppose Bynum/Gasol could garner some interest but neither are on the Howard/CP3 level. They really have no shot as other teams would be able to provide much better packages than the Lakers. I don't see them having anything comparable to what the Nets offered for Williams or Knicks offered for Melo. Pipe dream being blown out of proportion by BSPN, typical.

It's been less than 2 years, John Elway and Art Modell still can't get a drink in Cleveland... How do you think it'll go for you Leboob?

The only "embrace" he deserves is Warren Beatty/Deliverance style by a Steeler fan down in West Virginia. :D

Of course Bynum/Gasol/Odom aren't on the level of Dwight or CP. But they might be the best that the Magic and Hornets are offered so it's either take what you can get or wait until next off-season when they both sign with other teams and you are left empty handed.

Magic were offered Lopez and 2 first round picks, I'd say that's better than anything the lakers could put together. NO was offered Rondo, with a 3rd team getting involved. That's debatable on the CP3 front, but considering the haul that Jazz got for Williams and Nuggets got for Melo I would think a better would come up. That's just an assumption but if I'm the hornets I want young players and draft picks. Something the lakers don't have.

On the Laker situation, if I can only get Dwight or Paul, I take Paul easy. You already have two pretty damn good big guys and point guard has always been the weakest spot on this team. Gasol, Kobe, Paul, Artest, Odom.

Hmm I somewhat I agree, though a big (esp one like Howard) is gold in the NBA. I'd say there are more pgs in the league than there are good bigs. I think I'd still take Howard even though I enjoy watching Paul better. Howard is just that valuable.

That line up that you presented should win championships though. Really can't go wrong either way. CP3 also has injury concerns which can't be ignored.

I'm gaining some respect for Marc Stein, he's putting to rest the ridiculous claim that Lakers could get both Howard and CP3. How Chris Broussard still has a job is beyond me, he's just the guy that makes ridiculous claims about top markets getting top players and everyone then has to talk about it. Zero cred with me.

lol, I am sure the idiot will try to spin this as hard as possible. Gotta love how the dumbass groups a whole fanbase together, because maybe one fan decided Broussard was credible enough.

Exactly, outside of us ripping Chad Ford for his idiotic article about a waiter in Chicago (or stephen a smith, but thats always) I don't recall any Cavs fan saying anything in particular about a writer.

[h=3]Warriors Offering Curry, Thompson, Udoh For Paul[/h]Dec 06, 2011 9:22 PM EST
The Hornets have narrowed down their list of possible trade partners for Chris Paul to the Clippers, Warriors and Celtics, according to sources.
The Lakers, Mavericks and Rockets are also pushing for a trade, but are on the second tier.
According to sources, Golden State is offering Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Ekpe Udoh. The team would also amnesty Andris Biedrins in order to create cap space to reunite Paul with Tyson Chandler.
