With the Celts getting older, I think another viable scoring threat would do wonders. Id make that deal.

I'm torn on this Rondo/CP3 idea... Rondo is a cornerstone type PG IMO & CP3 is great & an All-Star every year. So basically it's a Win/Win in making or not making the deal.

But CP3 would have to accept a long-term deal, He seems convinced he wants to play in NYC so I don't see this happening

NJ said to be offering Brook Lopez and Future 1st rounders for Dwight Howard.

No way in hell Orlando can accept that offer.

They better offer some offer, or they'll lose him straight up

CP3 is a far better player than Rondo. That's a total win for the Celtics. I think Rondo is a good player, but he can kill the celtics some times on offense and has shown to be the weak link at times on the floor. That's one of the reasons I think they got rid of Perkins because with him and Rondo on the floor together scoring could be an issue with the Celtics.

The Pacers have emerged as a suitor for Rajon Rondo, according to sources.
Officials from the Pacers have been making calls to gather insight into Rondo's reputation over the past few days.
While Indiana and the Celtics have talked about the preliminary framework of a deal, two sources say a third team would be needed to consummate the deal.
Boston is likely attempting to acquire enough pieces to eventually land Chris Paul.

Because when it matters, it's 5 on 4 defensively for the other team. Rondo can't hit a jumper.

Paul won't re-sign with the Celtics so I think that throws him out. I read a tweet by one of the NBA guys that said the Celtics are trying to trade RR/Green to OKC for Westbrook/Perkins. The C's have realized that the Green/Perkins trade didn't work out.

I think Paul or Rondo, whoever is a Hornet come trade deadline time or once the season ends(if no trade is done at deadline) goes to the Knicks.

[h=1]Kyle Singler to sign with Real Madrid[/h]
ALICANTE, Spain -- Former Duke star Kyle Singler plans to stay in Spain rather than join the Detroit Pistons.
Singler was taken by the Pistons with the No. 33 pick in the draft. He's been playing with Spanish team Lucentum Alicante during the NBA lockout.
Alicante says it has agreed to sell Singler's rights to Real Madrid. The club says the forward will join Madrid once the NBA lockout is officially over.
Singler will play for Alicante on Sunday before signing with his new team on Monday after medical tests. Financial details were not released.
Singler joined Alicante in August and has been the league's top rookie, averaging 15 points.
The Pistons retain Singler's NBA rights while he is playing overseas.

lol Duke players never make it in the NBA.

When they do, most of them are role players and journeymen. Closest to a star I can remember in recent times was who? Elton Brand, who had a few really good years for one of the league's worst teams?

Grant Hill is honorable mention, though he could never stay healthy.

Shit. Forgot about him. He would have been great if he stayed healthy. I do give him a lot of credit for reinventing himself and staying relevant at a high level in the NBA instead of just flaming out due to injuries. A lot of guys aren't capable of doing that.

Lulz Dengz isn't that bad.

I don't think a Duke player has ever won an NBA title.

Can't believe some people would really prefer Rondo over Paul, that is a no brainer to me.

I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not. He would be a star if there was no offense in basketball.

I would say Grant Hill was a star with Detroit. But that only lasted 5 or 6 years.
