I'm a Sixers fan and am still bitter they took Turner over Boogie. I will forever compare their careers. Turner better end up amazing.hoops23;1018262 wrote:LOL, what?
That is a very dumb statement.
As for the team, they have been awful at either drafting and/or keeping the few guys who actually ended up good.
John Salmons, stunk in Philly, they finally gave up on him.
Andre Iguodala, good player, but they chose to way overpay him and have killed his value.
Rodney Carney, horrible
Thaddeus Young, felt he would be a stud, decent player, not amazing
Marreese Speights, great rookie, backward a bit in year 2 and all but forgotten last year
Evan Turner, we'll see how things go, but the dude was the 2nd overall pick. Thus far, he hasn't lived up to the hype.
I'll give them credit for Jrue Holiday and some later picks like Louis Williams, Willie Green, Kyle Korver and Samuel Dalembert, but outside of that, they have been pretty bad at drafting IMO.

When the Sixers roll with Spencer Hawes at center all and continue to get beat on the interior, we'll see.
I don't doubt Evan Turner, he's going to be good. However, I'm just salty that Cousins is going to be a double-double monster, probably average 20/10 (with higher potential) and he'll be on Sacramento.

Turner will end up solid but I doubt he lives up to the hype and his draft position he had coming out of college. So he wont be a bust, just not what was expected(by some). Hes smooth but doesnt have GREAT athleticism or do any one thing great but does all things decent.
The only 100% bust to come out of OSU of late is Greg Oden.

Pacers Agree To Trade Brandon Rush To Warriors For Lou Amundson
Dec 18, 2011 2:37 PM EST
The Indiana Pacers have agreed to send shooting guard Brandon Rush to Golden State in exchange for forward Lou Amundson.
The trade, which is expected to be finalized on Monday, would give the Warriors some badly-needed veteran depth behind guards Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry while giving the Pacers the kind of hardworking forward they were looking for.
The Pacers recently signed two-time All-Star David West as well as second-year bruiser Jeff Pendergraph to play with incumbent forward Tyler Hansbrough.

Also looks like Baron Davis to the NY Knicks

Always kind of liked Brandon Rush, be curious to see how he does in Golden State.

Think this means Ellis is getting dealt?

Possibly, they drafted Clay Thompson out of Washington State to play the 2 as well, he is 6'7'' athletic and can shoot and defend.jordo212000;1018863 wrote:Think this means Ellis is getting dealt?

Rush sucked for Indy. Not sure if it was the situation or what, but all accounts he had a terrible work ethic. Glad he is gone, but I wouldnt doubt he will turn it around elsewhere.

Rush isn't great, but he isn't bad either. He's much better than Amundson though.
Indiana must have thought they were getting thin on overachieving white guys

Larry was sick of Rush. He wasnt gonna play much at all this year. Plus, his issue(s) with Mary Jane didnt sit well.jordo212000;1018914 wrote:Rush isn't great, but he isn't bad either. He's much better than Amundson though.

Think he will do more this season? No Billups, no Melo. Has the opportunity to look to be aggressive on the offensive end.Hb31187;1020988 wrote:Yeah, great defender and 3pt shooter. But not worth that kinda $

He may do a litttle more. But I think he'll pretty much do what he has been doing, D up the opposing teams best wing player and knock down corner 3's. I think he'll benefit from playing with Lawson for an entire season because unlike chauncey he can break a defense down and kick it out to Affalo and Gallinari on the wings or down to Nene in the post. I like this team more without Anthony. Even though thats still my favorite playerLaley23;1021002 wrote:Think he will do more this season? No Billups, no Melo. I like Afflalo, but that may be a bit over priced. 5yrs/30 mil would have been perfect. May have even went 5/35

I was just posting the information in case someone didn't want to check ironman's thread (aka most ppl).
Seems like a lot for Afflalo. He's a very solid player, good in every area, hard worker etc... But he seems like a mid level exception guy and this could be a deal the Nuggs regret later on.
