Paul could guard a few 2 guards, but if you put him on most 2 guards for an entire game theyd abuse him. Hes quick and has quick hands but he doesnt have the size to really match up with most NBA 2 guards. Hes good at getting steals but its not like hes Gary Paytonthedynasty1998;1015371 wrote:He will argue whatever I say. It's comical. Paul is the 2nd best defensive PG in the NBA and can easily slide over to guard a 2 guard. It's not even up for debate. He's proven it.

Sorry... "average" was the word used. Those two aren't average defenders.wildcats20;1015370 wrote:SMH

LeBron should be an elite defender. Top 2/3 defender in the NBA. No 2 or 3 should be able to score on him. But he is lazy most of the game, unlike say a Ron Artest, Gary Payton, Shane Battier etc, etc. Those guys D you up all game long.
BTW, I think Gordon is a better defender than Paul...if my opinion is worth anything lol.

Lebron is the most versatile defender in the world, that alone makes him elite imo.

Not even close to lazy, you want to see lazy watch Amare or Blake Griffin play. I don't know how many games I watched Blake Griffin not running the floor or getting back on D, I know you watch the Clips so you saw the same thing.Laley23;1015384 wrote:LeBron should be an elite defender. Great players make others better though, he's gotta find that medium between scoring and passing, Deron Williams is the best at this and the best pg in the league imo.Hb31187;1015386 wrote:If he was a pass 1st pg they woudlnt of made it past the first round though lol

Bron does the same shit. EVERY star in the League does. Even Dwight Howard, who most consider to be the best defender since sliced bread.robj55;1015387 wrote:Not even close to lazy, you want to see lazy watch Amare or Blake Griffin play, I don't know how many games I watched Blake Griffin not running the floor or getting back on D, I know you watch the Clips so you saw the same thing.

Howard isn't a good defender because he fouls a lot. /COA'd /like_that'd /Hb'dwildcats20;1015389 wrote:Bron does the same shit. EVERY star in the League does. Even Dwight Howard, who most consider to be the best defender since sliced bread.

FYI, Lebron's opponents shot 30% from the field last year.

I stopped reading when I saw Mike Millers name and defense listed in the same sentence. Just another stupid formula. smhthedynasty1998;1015393 wrote:Here is a link to some data on the NBA's best defenders at each respective position:

Lol +1 let's find some stupid article that supports my view. If lebron is so elite then how come you let Jason terry whose 7 in smaller than you light you up in the nba finals. Point proven

Because, judging by your evaluations of Paul and Lebron, if one part of your game isnt perfect you aren't a good defender.Hb31187;1015409 wrote:So why would you randomly bring it up?
Also, the fact that you think Lebron and CP3 are "average" makes you the "fucking idiot"

I laughed when I saw that too. But it's actual data. It's not like I created some formula myself to support my argument. It was the first link after a google search. I actually find it to be fairly well done.Skyhook79;1015405 wrote:I stopped reading when I saw Mike Millers name and defense listed in the same sentence. Just another stupid formula. smh
But sorry for bringing some statistics to the debate. I'll just stick to, "I'm right. You're wrong".

Lol and the fact that you think theyre great simply because they make the nba defensive team is pretty funny as well. The defensive team is a popularity contest, if it wasnt the 1st team would be full of people like Mbah amoute(sp), Battier, Gerald Wallace, Arron Afflalo ect. But its not because its full of stars who get put on the team because of their namePick6;1015413 wrote:Because, judging by your evaluations of Paul and Lebron, if one part of your game isnt perfect you aren't a good defender.

The formula is crap. Sample sizes are so small. Not surprised your impressed by it though. smhthedynasty1998;1015415 wrote:I laughed when I saw that too. But it's actual data.
